I know just how you felt! My father was in the military, so I had to be the new kid A LOT! Fortunately, jr. high was the one time I got to be one of the people who'd been around for a few years. It didn't seem to help much, though. At the time we were on a military base so all the kids were military "brats." In that situation, new kids were actually acceptable and sometimes even super cool.
I think the worst lonely feeling for me was when we moved the summer after jr. high and I had to start high school in a new town -- well, city! I went from 200 in my jr high to 2000 in my high school. Talk about culture shock! At least in high school you can meet people by doing clubs and sports and stuff. I really feel for you!
