A chance to "vent" about something.

Or do you have something to "rejoice" about?

Right now I am so annoyed with Gabrielle. She just got an F on an English test. Not because she did not understand it,but because she did not follow directions. She actually missed 10 because she did not underline the possive nouns in the sentence. It was clearly stated in the directions, plus the tecaher actually wrote on the test that she told them what to so before the test.I really wish she would listen better at times.SHe would have had an A on the test.Am I the only one who gets annoyed at her kid for stuff like this?I would be cool if she did not understand but she did she missed 10 because she did not follow directions. She still has a 94% in the class, but she drives me nuts when she does carless crap like this.Plus she has the tween know it all attiude, which is why I am sure she figured she did not have to listen when the teacher was talking.I don't expect her to get be perfect, but I do expect her to do her best and not breezethrough stuff as if she knows it all.Anyway that is my vent for today.

Careless mistakes like that irk me too.

Alexis got a 0 on a quiz last quarter because she forgot to bring her book home and read the chapter. It was a pop quiz. I wasn't real upset with her because she is a very good student and works hard to maintain her grades. Even with that 0 on a quiz she ended the quarter with a 98%.

Wow that is good.to be honest Gab is usually a good student too.She is just a bad listener, plus since she usually does so well sometime she thinks she know it all and she does not need to read directions or listen to the teacher.Lesson learned.I have a feeling her and her friends were chatting when the teacher was talking, because a few of them did the same thing. She could have read the directions though.I would not have know the teacher said anything, but I think she was ticked too because she wrote it on the test. She actually had a 69% on the test,so at least it wasn't a 0

The pop quiz stuff would not really annoy me as much or at all.

Wow, it's a rare day indeed, because I really have nothing to whine about!!! But I thought I'd post anyway to help the "challenge." ;-) The only negative thing bothering me right now is I'm a little sad for DS, because one of his best friends is moving very soon and they (DS *and* the friend) seem to be taking it hard. They've known since December, but now that it's imminent, it's getting tough. I'm really sorry to see him move, too; he's a great kid and has been a good influence on my son. We're trying to figure out a way to get them together over the summer, but it's tough -- the kid is moving to Texas, we're in Pennsylvania. Not exactly an easy road trip!!!
