Dh has had District Guys from Texas in his office all week, picking and poking and trying to find things 'wrong'. This has put DH in a very lovely mood...NOT!!!! These guys leave today so I'm looking forward to a much more relaxed hubby tonight! It's been like living with a grizzly bear...growling and snapping at everyone.
Barely into the second week of Cross Country and my son is already trying to skip...I told him no driving if he skips...so he stayed! LOL!
Yesterday was the day I really needed this thread, I could have filled about 6 posts with stuff!
Let's see, I'm EXHAUSTED! I can't seem to catch up on sleep, luckily Emma is usually only up once a night to eat, but still. Last week she was up multiple times for 3 straight nights and I haven't recovered yet. I love my daughters, but I just need like 12 hours to be able to take a bath and get one FULL night's sleep, uninterrupted.
DH is out of contact for a month, so 2 1/2 weeks down, at least 1 1/2 weeks to go, and he's being an a$$ about finances and screwing me all up, especially since school is starting and school supplies are needed!
My house is a disaster, I cannot seem to catch up on chores. And with Jordyn in practices all the time she barely has time to do any of her stuff either so neither of us are getting anything done. My house looks like the display floor of babys-r-us.
And last but not least, at least for the moment, I know I shouldn't complain about this, but I will anyways. Nothing fits! I am in a weird post-pregnancy, nursing stage where none of my pre-pregnancy clothes fit. I am too big on top now from nursing, and somehow I am smaller on the bottom, so all my pants just hang off of me or I have to belt them or am constantly pulling them up. I have to try on everything now, especially when shopping because all those normal things I used to buy, I would run in, pick up something in my "normal" size at that store, but my normal size doesn't fit, so I have had to take a few things back, or I have to take the time to try everything on again. And that is not the easiest thing to do with a 4 1/2 month old.
My stupid (that's about the nicest thing I can think of right now) ex husband. How long do you have?
I call him yesterday because I was having a problem with Emily and I thought maybe he can help....DUH!!!
Let me give you a little background. He was married once before me. We were married 5 years. He left me for another woman when I was preggo with Emily...moved to Arizona, then California then broke up with that girl and moved to Arkansas. Shortly after that relationship ended he married somegirl he met in an online dating thing. Married to her for about a year divorced her. For the first couple of years he paid child support but when he was married he didn't. Well I guess he got in a ton of trouble and ended up moving to Indiana to live with his mom. Has lived with her for a year and been pretty good about paying child support while he was with her. So, he gets done talking to Emily and she gives the phone to me. He says "oh by the way I am moving to New Hampshire" WHY???? you ask.... because he met "someone special". Can you believe that? Of course he is moving right in with her and has no job but "it shouldn't take him long to find one" and he "might be able to keep paying child support" but I'm not holding my breath and then he says he wants to fly the girls up there next summer. I can't beleive he is such a LOSER!!!
I'm off work today because I had to go to the dentist. So my mouth hurts. I went to Wal-mart and spent to much money. AND IT'S HOT!!!! Thanks that felt good! JuneMarie
I had a bad day yesterday and I don't even know why. It wasn't even my students. One thing that had me down was at 1st hour (my planning period), the sub custodian told me that the previous day my classroom was the dirtiest in the whole school...lots of papers on the floor. They had to move all the desks (have I ever mentioned that I have 32 desks in my classroom???) to clean it up. Well, that devastated me! My class is never that messy and I KNOW it wasn't that messy at 6th hour, so it had be during 7th hour. But I didn't notice it during the class or after they left. Well, I even let my asst principal know that it upset me because I took it personally (she said, she knows...I take everything negative personally--well, not constructive criticism..that's one thing that I do RIGHT as a teacher..lol).
Then, on my way home, I stopped at a branch of the library. She questioned the fact that I had so many books checked out (the computer will not allow you to check out more than X number). WELL....I have a "special teacher patron account" and I can check out more books and I get them for 6 weeks, too! She asked (quite nasty), "Are you a homeschool teacher?" (Like that would matter!) BUT, I have a polo shirt on that says (SCHOOL) MIDDLE FACULTY (Yeah, I just wear it because it's the hottest thing on the market right now!). UGH! Get home, and my account is BLOCKED!!!
Then, I finally sit down to do some paperwork--now my plan was to get my test worked on, grade the rest of the papers, and make an accommodations/modifications chart for my SPED/504 students. I did not get to work on my test (but turns out that I don't really have to much). It took me about 2 hours to do the chart! Mike came in, asked what I was doing, then asked if I was going to accommodate him. He got mad at me when I huffed or something...ugh!
Anyway....I guess he got over it (??????).
Today was an okay day at school. I had to tick off my students (a lot of writing today!!!), but they have to get used to it because they have to write lab reports for me... school and state requirement.
I didn't have 2 of my problem students in 7th hour, but one of my problem students ended up getting his 4th minor infraction (which is an office referral). Haven't fulfilled the 3rd minor yet (parent contact--left message twice), so asked the asst principal what to do. She said to send him in, she suspects that they are not living at the home anymore, thus in another school district! But, that is just a shame...he's been in school 8 days and has his 4th minor infraction in my class alone! No self-control or shame at all!

Well, I feel slightly better. Tracy

Laura,
My DH told us this weekend that he will be back home Oct. 1. No more nights away from home or getting up at 4:30 to be at work at 7:00! Yipee!
Karin
I hear ya! Everything is always my fault. Both kids think that!
