1. You and your DH/date are at an expensive restaurant. Your waiter arrives at the table with both of your entrees. He serves your DH first, ignoring the "Ladies First" rule. Does this annoy you? Do you notice that he served the man first? You can tell how sophisticated I am, I didn't know there was a "ladies first" rule.

2. List something in your kitchen that is used so often, it is never put away. We don't really have anything like this, our kitchen is very small & I try to put as much stuff in the cabinets as possible as we don't have a lot of counter space!

3. Your breakfast is a bowl of hot oatmeal. What do you add to it to make it more interesting? Not a fan of oatmeal, but maybe bananas???

4. Use three words to describe yourself today. Tired, stressed & anxious

5. I'm looking forward to ___tomorrow, getting the kids dressed up & letting them Trick or Treat, they're so excited!!!!___________.

1. You and your DH/date are at an expensive restaurant. Your waiter arrives at the table with both of your entrees. He serves your DH first, ignoring the "Ladies First" rule. Does this annoy you? Do you notice that he served the man first? it depends on how the table is set up and where we are sitting. If its across from each other and the isle way is in "front" of the table. Then yes

2. List something in your kitchen that is used so often, it is never put away. SKIP

3. Your breakfast is a bowl of hot oatmeal. What do you add to it to make it more interesting? fruit

4. Use three words to describe yourself today. dont bother me

5. I'm looking forward to ______________. i get sleep.this weekend

Bonus: (question #2 made me think of this) When you are out at a restaurant or even when you are home -- do you wait for all parties at the table to receive their food before you begin eating? most of the time yes but it depends on how long they have to wait.

I actually have given up on manners like that in public places, so I would notice but it wouldn't annoy me, but since you specify "expensive", I probably would notice and be somewhat annoyed.

2. List something in your kitchen that is used so often, it is never put away.

My Bosch (like a KitchenAide) mixer, I use it to mix/knead bread and all kinds of other stuff like making hummus and pesto in the blender part.

3. Your breakfast is a bowl of hot oatmeal. What do you add to it to make it more interesting?

bananas, dried cherries, applesauce (I eat that frequently actually!)

4. Use three words to describe yourself today.
busy, frumpy, headachy

5. I'm looking forward to a mom's night out.

Bonus: (question #2 made me think of this) When you are out at a restaurant or even when you are home -- do you wait for all parties at the table to receive their food before you begin eating? Definitely, and it irritates me no end when people begin to eat the second they are served.

This doesn't annoy me, but it totally upsets DH. He is very considerate, & always waits for me to have my food before he begins eating.

2. List something in your kitchen that is used so often, it is never put away.

Bottle warmer.

3. Your breakfast is a bowl of hot oatmeal. What do you add to it to make it more interesting?

Okay, here's my everyday oatmeal fix up: oatmeal, tiny pat of butter, raisins, & a tad of brown sugar.

4. Use three words to describe yourself today.

Patient, grateful & excited.

5. I'm looking forward to ______________.

Halloween...can't wait to dress up the girls!

I didn't know there was a ladies first rule. Usually they serve the person closest to where they are standing first. I don't go to fancy restaurants though and I'm not married. Not that I've ever dated someone that would take me to a nice restaurant. LOL

electric kettle

brown sugar!!!

frozen tired sore (I just got back from getting 3 fillings at the dentist.)

I can't wait for the freezing and icky feeling to go away on my face.

At a restaurant, yes. At home...well, I'm the one that brings the food out. My kids are such slow eaters, I just tell them to start or we'd be there all night.

Do you notice that he served the man first? I wouldn't notice... I'm terrible about the finer manners (open the door for women, let elders go first, etc.) and my kids need to learn them. I'm considering instituting a monthly mother/son and father/daughter lunch/dinner outing where we specifically teach the kids these manners (man opens the door for the lady, pulls out her chair, etc.)

2. List something in your kitchen that is used so often, it is never put away.

Stick blender - I use it for purees and smoothies 4-5 times/week. If I had more counter space, I'd leave the crockpot out too.

3. Your breakfast is a bowl of hot oatmeal. What do you add to it to make it more interesting? not much, milk and maple syrup. We just got some agave nectar and I'll probably try that the next time I have oatmeal. I'm on a health kick so I'll probably add some ground flax seed next time too.

4. Use three words to describe yourself today. tired, overwhelmed, melancholy (sp?)

5. I'm looking forward to ______________. the weekend

Bonus: (question #2 made me think of this) When you are out at a restaurant or even when you are home -- do you wait for all parties at the table to receive their food before you begin eating? Always, unless the person(s) waiting say it's alright to go ahead and eat. We have a rule at our house: you may not begin to eat until the lady of the house (or cook but they are usually the same) raises her fork. Evan violates it constantly but I continue to remind him hoping that it will sink in eventually.

Now, I don't go to fancy restaurants, but I'd probably notice now that you've mentioned it.
