Sam and Rachel enjoyed trick-or-treat again this year. Our neighborhood is essentially 55 houses, and they did them in about 1 1/2 hours. Dh and the dad next door took the 4 kids around. Dh thought maybe S&R were OK to go alone, but I feel there should be adults out and about in general on this night.

They brought back huge bags of candy, and we have a bunch leftover, even though I bought less than last year.

My kids 10 year old and 4 year old got to go t or t twice this year. In my old town and the one we live in. We give them each a bowl to put there candy in, and about once or twice a week they get there bowl for snack and can eat for like 5 or 10 minutes. The other nights they have to have fruit or something else good for them. By the next Halloween if they still have some left we throw it away. By then it gets pretty old, but they really don't seem to care. Me and my dh help by taking some to work with us almost every night. We work 3rd shift and need some snack food.

We don't usually have that problem - that'll change over the next few years though.

Well, I like the idea of giving it to school.

Last year, we took the remainder (and with 3 boys trick or treating, that's a BIG pile) to the elementary school.
100% all boy~
