Morning everyone! Fairly low key day today. I dropped the kids off and went to the health club for a little while. Later this morning I am volunteering in Megan's classroom an that's it for the day. I'm catching a cold so I'm going to take it easy. Oh, have to get some soup going. Had a roast last night and am planning to put the leftover beef in a soup/stew. Oh, I need to get some piano practicing in because I'm playing for a kids production of Joseph in May and the kids are singing one number in church in a few weeks.
Tonight both kids have swim practice and that's about it. Evan needs to get his little self going on his Science Expo project too.
Thanks for thinking of me! I'm doing much better. It means a lot to me that you asked! :) I'm trying to concentrate on making day-to-day life better for the family and that has had a big impact on my mood and outlook. I'm getting more done and I feel better about myself in the process. I've figured out that with a little extra work before bedtime and some self-discipline I can set myself up for a better day the next day. After several days in a row like this, life is better!!
I read about the helicopter crash yesterday and I'm glad Jackie was not on board!
yes taking it day for day and trying to take time for yourself helps. Im glad you are doing that. If you ever need anything let me know. Im always here or email me I would love to talk. Hang in there. (thanks yes Jackie is okay. It makes me sick sometimes) HUGS
Thanks for asking!!! It was GREAT! I got started a little later than I wanted to but I was putzing around getting dinner started. I went to the bookstore and listened to my ipod and read a really funny book. I also stopped by a tea store and bought myself some healthy tea. When I was done (about 1:45) I grabbed lunch at Chipotle (another treat because I NEVER go out to lunch) and didn't worry about calories or carbs or anything. :) I came home about 2:00 and took a nap until it was time to pick up the kids at school.
I learned a few things in this process... 1) I deserve a little treat once in a while (just figure out where the budget will be adjusted to allow for it) 2) I really like my home (soft bed and couches and warm blankets to curl up). I missed the blankets while I was at the bookstore. 3) If I just spend a few minutes (15 - 20) picking up at night, I have more time the next day and I feel better about myself.
Probably more than you cared to know but I thought I'd share.
