Mindy, where is Kayleigh's #1 pick if you don't mind me asking? I know there aren't a ton of schools that small, just curious.

@Tracy - SUNY Environmental and Forestry in Syracuse. I really hope that she gets in there.

Ah, I was just curious. My old boss' DD went to a very small liberal arts college in Maine of about 1500 students.

University of Maine Machias looks like it has a great program and about 1,000 students. If only it was not nine hours away

Ya, plane tickets are a big factor if you don't want to do a bunch of driving. Heck, even in Texas it seems like going from one side of the state to the other would be like going from Michigan all the way to PA or some similar thing, if she even wanted to stay in state. I think that is the biggest consideration for Jordyn, if she's not able to come home here at the holidays because Of plane tickets, at least she'll still be with her family.

4 hours is even kind of a haul.

Most of the schools Kayleigh is looking at are 3-5 hours away. One school we looked at does allow Freshmen to have a car on campus, but I am not expecting Kayleigh to own a car.
