Chelle- you don't have to wait if you fail the written portion of the test?  So not fair :P

If you fail the written test, and my child did the first time by missing 2 signs, she had to wait 15 days before she could test again.  After 3 fails you have to take the class portion of driver's ed in order to be able to take the written part.  We had a friend whose child had to do that.  Not fun.

At least it didn't cost us to take the test.  I had to pay after she'd passed and gotten her permit.

Hi everyone. No holiday preparations here, I just have to bake a couple of desserts so I'll get started tomorrow night.

It was a busy work day today, but not a bad day. They had a breakfast for us (the SRP's) this morning, our teacher was out for a while at a meeting, then it was the third grade Thanksgiving feast.

Kayleigh had a regular day at school and didn't stay after for anything. Ian had a regular school day, is studying for a couple of tests and will go to scouts later

I'm making split pea soup for dinner, with grilled cheese.  Later, will watching Dancing with the Stars, and that's about it. Excited that tomorrow is the last work day of the week

Thank you Tracy and Cheryl. I saw so many kids come around the little wall telling their parent they didn't pass. They'd hand them another $5 to take it again. I was prepared to have him take it a few times. I was relieved to finally walk out of there. That is a place you run into so many people from different walks of life. Can get a little creepy. LOL He definitely needs to practice lane placement. Scary!

Got the girls off to school.  Then Matthew and I went to the DMV to test for his Learners permit.  That took almost 2 hours but after a nail biting, computer glitch problems he found out that he passed!!!  I was pacing back and forth waiting to find out.  I saw her hand him his temporary permit and I almost cried I was so proud.  Gave him a big hug outside.  I am taking him to lunch to celebrate and then on to school.  I let him drive home the last half.  Lot less cars on the road at that point.  He scared me a few times, once I thought I was going to lose a mirror on the right side of my car or he was going to take out a few mailboxes.  LOL  It's a narrow two lane road and he was freaking out.  He's never driven on a road like that and I never realized that.  Poor kid.  After I get the kid back to school I plan to finish my baking.  I am not happy with my pumpkin bread so I am going to make more.  Find a different recipe I guess.

Dinner, hmmmmm......I will need to figure that one out.  Leaveing tomorrow so don't need leftovers.

Good morning. I'm still pretty sore and taking it easy.  Biscuits are inthe oven and I'm about to go make eggs and ham for breakfast.  Hoping we have kiwi left in the frurt bowl- I have a taste for it.  School this morning.  Then Zeph is off to a friend's house until dinner.  Buffy is off to the vet for an afternoon of doggy daycare and I'm off to the grocery store.    I  should get working on my list:)  DH comes home this evening.  Zeph and I will continue our Jaws movie fest.

Good morning ladies.  A bit of a rushed morning, I edned up getting Emma up at the last minute to take and drop her off at school since DH got in so late.  Jordyn's car broke down yesterday and is at the repair shop, so he had to take her into school also, but an hour later than getting up with Emma.  He is going to have to figure out how we are getting Jordyn to work tonight after school.  And I forgot to leave Madison's nap stuff with her at school, so I'll be running up to the school on my lunch hour for her to have her sheet, blanket and extra clothes since she's had a few more accidents during nap time lately.  She's got a bit of a cold and I think she's sleeping hard and just not waking up to go potty.  Other than that, I have paperwork to to today, but that's about it.  Lots of paperwork and laundry to do tonight at home also.
