Good morning ladies, its Tuesday, how are you today?
Good morning ladies. I am back at work this morning and in good spirits. DH is out of town, so it was a bit of a rush getting everyone out the door this morning, but we made it and I actually grabbed lunch and coffee!! LOL! Not a lot going on today that I know of right now. I may run an errand on lunch, we'll see. And I was just pulled into a meeting, my boss letting me know she is leaving. Which is not surprising, but still slightly unsettling.
Anyways, Jordyn has work tonight, I have to think on dinner. I didn't make what I had planned last night, but I don't know if I want to make them tonight.
So, have a lovely day!!
We've recovered from the holiday weekend-lots of eating and shopping. The house is decorated inside ( so nice to have a mantle)and outside is half decorated. We understimated how many lights strands we would need.
I'm not going anywhere today. It's cold out and we've got plenty to do indoors. Dishes and laundry are still waiting. The dryer is fixed (we think) so I need to was the drum to clean to and let it open air dry for most of the day. I've got a couple of loads I can do that are air dry only anyway. I do have some phone calls to make. I need to cancel the inhome pet sitter. Good thing we decided not to go with DH to TX as DH was just told instead of TX he's off to NY. I ordered opera tickets months ago and it is next week. and I have yet to receive my tickets ( school production) but they did cash my check. Hopefully it's an easy fix.
Zeph starts his Coursera astronomy class today. A good portion of the (adult) astronomy club is taking it also. I'm not sure if DH signed up or not. While I am not taking the class, I bet I will be helping with the math. I do not like this kind of math--it hurts my brain!
Zeph is all over the place with history right now studying for the History Bee. I'm hoping he makes it at least to the 2nd level in Chicago. I'm trying to walk that fine line between helpful and pushy. He's putting alot of pressure on himself. He doesn't need me to add more. He just started a new online Middle Ages course, is watching a documentary on the Dust Bowl, and is reading about the Iran/Kontra scandal, has an audio book on the Freedom Riders to be listened to later. Tonight is another episode of Mankind the Story of Us and he's been watching those as a history overview. I was going to let our history curriculum slide for now, but I hear him listening to an audio tape about the battle of Antietam. I don't know how he stores it all in his mind!
Buffy, my perfect adorable well mannered hound, ate a wrapped gift under the tree yesterday! Fortunately it was just the wrapping and the box that was ruined not the Lego pieces inside. I guess I'll need to find a new box and rewrap, but I'm disappointed it won't be the wow moment when he sees the Lego box. DH surprised me by putting gifts for me under the tree before he left on his trip. Nice for me to have some anticipation this year. The ILs offered to give Zeph the Itouch-so they'l be reimbursing me-win win!
I think we should be asking you Tracy how are you?
Today might turn into a crazy day. I got the kids all off to school and came right back home to make Natalie an appointment for her foot. She has injured it and it hugely swollen. I am suppose to go to my moms and help her arrange some Christmas decorations, I guess I will do it later. I need to clean my kitchen floor. It's a mess. I am hoping to get more Christmas decorations put up outside. A bit drizzley so not sure how that will work out. Tonight is just homework. We are in our lull for activities, but come March we will be going in two different directions possibly three. We didn't get our trees decorated yesterday so maybe this evening. Everyone put the homework off to long so it didn't get done.
Dinner will be pot roast with mashed potatoes and carrots. DINNER PLANS HAVE CHANGED! I am goiong to put the roast off until tomorrow evening and cook beans and cornbread tonight for dinner. Got them soaking and will get them cooking by noon I suppose in the crockpot.
Hi everyone. I felt really tired today and it was a stressful day in my classroom - all of the staff is feeling very frustrated over the difficult student that we have.
Kayleigh had a regular school day. She was supposed to have play rehearsal after but all after school activities were cancelled due to the snow.
Ian had a regular school day and due to the expected wintery mix, scouts was cancelled for tonight.
We are having soup and sandwich night, followed by the DWTS finale. We'll see how much wintery mix we get and whether there is a delay in the morning
