We are all feeling better. Kids are still in an activity lull.  Nothing going on for another month.

About the job, they called yesterday wanting references so I got those together and sent them this morning.  They are not only people I have worked with in some way or another they are all good friends. So they will be great to have speak for me. Hoping to know by the end of the week.

Today we had an assembly that I had not been informed of so that threw a bit of a wrench my morning, but we got through it and managed to stay on the teachers plan. I left work with a headache, just trying not to get sick at this point. Tonight DD has 2 dance classes and I thimk DS has play practice after school. Tonite I have to look over the kid's class selections for next year, get a handle on where DS Is in his Eagle Scout paperwork and a few open merit  badges he has a very full few months coming up and he seems a bit overwhelmed. A also need to see when the SAT subject tests are offered, there are 2 he needs to take. He is already signed up for the SAT in March. Dinner tonite is tamales and leftovers for those who do not want tamales. I also have some bills to do and hope to get a load of laundry. I am very happy tomorrow is a minimum day at work.

Hi everyone. Snow flurries on and off today.

It was a calm day at work - four of our 12 students were absent, including the two biggest behavior issue kids.  We had a party in class for one of the TA's who turned 50. I brought the cupcakes

Regular school day for Ian and then scouts tonight. Kayleigh had school, then something after, nothing for tonight.

I'm making soup and Ian is supposed to make rolls. Turns out I don't have everything I'm supposed to for the soup recipe, so it'll be kind of plain but it'll have to do.

Tonight, I have some stuff to go over with Kayleigh, and I'd like to clean out my car. Then hopefully some wine and tv time!

that sounds like a good idea for Emma!! I am working through making lunches that don't involve sandwiches since she refuses to eat any of the gluten free ones I"ve tried so far and she has yet to eat one of the simple lunch meat and cheese roll ups I send either...

When Zeph was little he loved sliced kiwi on a mini rice cake with a dab of cream cheese.

I made a broccoli quiche for lunch.  So good. Been meaning to make one for a while. Finally remembered.

I have cutting up mango too! I haven't tried a papaya yet, still working on new fruits. I did cut up 2 kiwi and added those and a handful of strawberries to Emma's lunch bag today. Jordyn loves kiwi, but she says the work involved in peeling it and cutting it as they are so small isn't worth the payoff. LOL! I will have to buy a few more this weekend and cut it up for her and Emma both and then maybe she'll eat it. I forgot to mention to her I cut up some pineapple for her also. She doesn't like her fruits mixed. I alwyas tell Jordyn I don't understand why she doesn't like quiche, she likes eggs and cheese and the bacon I usually put it in, its just in a different form, how does she not like it?? LOL! I'm still figuring out the gluten free issue in relation to a quiche. I found a great gluten free crust for pumpkin pie, but it won't translate to a quiche and I hate spending the money on a pre-made gluten free one in the store, they are so so expensive. I'll have to start doing some research again.

We all like quiche, but we all like different things in it.  DH does not like it as much when I omit meat and dislikes broccoli.  Zeph doesn't like tomato (tomato and basil is my favorite) but DH wasn't here this morning so broccoli and cheese it was.  My crust isn't homemade.  I use a frozen whole wheat crust.  What I call quiche is more like egg pie-close enough.  I have enough left for a lunch for us later in the week.  I splurged and bought fresh cut up mango-they did it for me there.  I love mango but hate cutting it.  I should see if they would do a papya too!

Hmmm, I have not made a quiche in a while. Jordyn won't eat it, I can't remember if the little girls do or not, but I love it and even if no one else does, I can always bring it for lunches. Maybe I will add that in for tomorrow evening or even tommorrow morning if I get up early enough to make it. I am so behind on menu planning, being gone messed me all up for this week. I did make a batch of green smoothies last night and froze 2 of them so I can just grab and go and then drink it once it thaws. I need to plan out the rest of the month in general as we have a decent amount of stuff going on, and with DH's work load back to a pretty consistent 30-40 hour week plus office stuff, all the regular responsibilities are back onto me again. I am really crossing my fingers that my lunch with my former boss is good on Friday and that I can officially say this will be my last month at my current job.
