Good morning ladies! Its Tuesday, how is everyone doing?
Good morning ladies! I ended up much busier yesterday than originally planned. Thanks Chelle for doing yesterday's thread.
Today, got up early and tried another new breakfast. We'll see how this one goes over. Got up and out the door relatively on time with little problems from miss Madison. I have 2 projects due today and need to meet with one director on one of them and see if there is room in my boss' calendar to meet today on another project. No plans as of right now for lunch, I may go get my tennis shoes out of my work out bag in the trunk and go walking at lunch for a bit as the weather is supposed to be pretty nice. If not, I do need to run and get a few groceries and I can run to whole foods as its mostly veggies and fruits I need. Tonight, nothing planned as of right now, not sure what's for dinner, possibly leftovers. Jordyn has a play off game for basketball, the bus leaves at 3:00, so she won't be home til late. Luckily she has a study hall this morning and had pretty much caught up on homework over the weekend.
Have a great day!
Brrr it's cold! Windy too! I'm still getting use to the creaks of this house and there were many last night which resulted in a poor night's sleep. Add in a math test first thing and both of us is in a crabby mood. Ugh, math. He is a whiz and applies himself in all other areas and is at 95-98% in all his other grades, but math is hovering in the high 70s. Typically I don't care about grades but rather the experience, effort, and more of an educational journey, but the disparity betwen math and his other subjects has me concerned.
We're going to the pool today. DS has expressed some interest in rejoining the team, but its been a while since he was doing that intensive a workout. Last week he went and was wiped after 50 minutes and a team practice is 90. It's going to take some time to get back to that level.
A trip to the grocery store is planned too. Dinner tonight is a hot quinoa mixed with zucchini and sweet potato along with some sort of meat-thinking pork.
Not a normal morning for us. I have started to make the kids ride the bus to and from school Starting today. Matthew was not happy about that. He'll just have to get use to it. I went to bed at a decent time last night but I am tired. I guess I didn't rest well. I am being lazy this morning. I have dishes to load in the dishwasher and keep putting it off. I have towels to fold and clothes to dry. I might clean floors. Starting to think about Tim's birthday. It's next week and we need to thnk about gifts and cards. Plan the day. I also need to get the bills prepared to be paid today.
Dinner has yet to be decided. I just remembered I need to figure that out.
Hi, everyone. Just checking in. Sorry I have been MIA lately. We've had some bad stuff going on around here. We are all OK, but I am struggling emotionally. DH was hospitalized in Duluth from Saturday the 9th until Thursday last week, and the whole situation has me freaked out.
Anyway..I think the last time I posted I mentioned that DS got selected for honor band. The event was about a month ago, and he did very well. His band teacher has him re writing a piece of music for the band to play, so it has been very interesting listening DS work through that process. .DS got asked to prom by a Senior . DD is going to prom with The BF and she and I will be going dress shopping this weekend. School is going well for the kids and me. I am struggling with astronomy, but still managing to scrape an A. I am tutoring another student in my college writing class. We worked on her paper a little bit today.
Hi all, hope everyone had a good Tuesday. I spent the day tired but made it through. We got word that our difficult student is having some health issues and will be out til further notice, whatever that means. We have another student who has been absent for two weeks, no word from her parents and we are worried about her. Meanwhile, the teacher in our room is sadly expecting her dad to pass in the next few days so we are preparing to run the classroom without her for a week.
Kayleigh had a regular school day and stayed after to film a video for science club. Ian had a regular school day, and no scout since yesterday was originally supposed to be a day off from school (which we lost after the week off from hurricane sandy).
I ran a couple of errands after work, came home to make soup which Ian made biscuits to go with. I spent the evening relaxing and enjoyed (very much!) a couple of glasses of wine
