We decided to let DD drive herself and DS to the orthodontist this morning, so I was up early so they would get up and out the door on time. I worked the preschool program today, and while my student had a pretty good day in the scheme of things, we still have a long way to go. then I had Homework Club. Sigh. All I can say is thank goodness my volunteer helper was able to come in this afternoon. One of the kids (the one who was unregistered and keeps showing up) did not get picked up until 6:10 this evening. I am livid. what kind of parent sends their kid to a program without bothering to register them or even call to find out the particulars about it, and then does not even bother to make sure they get picked up within a reasonable amount of time? then, the PARENT didn't even show up to get the kid. it was his teenage brother that picked him up. Again, I sent home registration paperwork and I told the brother that the kid would not be allowed to attend again unless he had a completed registration form and a ride arranged to pick him up when we conclude at 5:00. Honestly! Sorry about the vent, everyone. anyway, after that I picked up some nice seasoned pork chops at the grocery store, filled the car with gas and headed for home. the chops are in the oven and I am going to make some rice and broccoli and there are dinner rolls left over from Sunday night. the laundry is in the washer and all is quiet in the house for now. Maybe I will have some wine later...

Hi everyone. I barely slept last night and I am dragging. It was a busy day.

Hi all! So far so good today. Work was pretty easy. The kids were really well behaved and our two biggest challenges had awesome days at the same time! Hooray! It 65 and sunny. Think the dog and I need to go for a walk when I get home.

This afternoon I need to get some laundry done (dh is on the verge of an underwear emergency) and plan menus for the week. Tomorrow is errand day. Planning always makes that a more pleasant experience.

No clue what's for dinner tonight. We're all sick of pasta, Evan has a water polo match (game?) and Megan wants to go to the library with a friend to work on their Science Expo project which is due Friday. That doesn't leave me much time at home to actually do the cooking. we may just have to do breakfast for dinner.

Have a great day everyone!

Wish I could join you on the hike! Sounds like fun. Can I come for dinner? Not sure what we're having for dinner yet but yours sounds really good.

It should be pretty quiet again today as far as I know. I have to run to the store to get a strap for the duffle bag I bought jordyn last week for her trip, it didn't have one in it. She needs to finish packing tonight, she has a 7 a.m. flight in the morning and I have laundry and tons of dishes to do tonight.

Hot dogs & hamburgers for dinner tonight.

Have a great day!
