Good morning ladies. Busy morning already, I have a few projects on the agenda to work on and hopefully get off my desk for the timebeing. Not sure about lunch yet, possibly over to look at another car or two for Jordyn. They called yesterday and have declared it a total, now we are waiting for them to tell us what they are giving us for it. I am staying very low on the budget for another car for her regardless and we'll see how it all turns out. I"ll be glad when this is done and over with.
Tonight, paperwork and stuff for DH's business, FAFSA stuff for Jordyn, pay bills, and some cleaning. All those were on the agenda for last night and I laid down on the bed at 8:30 for just a minute and was out for the night! Not sure about dinner either, probably the skillet meal we didn't have last night as we opted for pancakes instead. Have a good one!
Another quiet day here. DH has an easy day-just phone calls. Zeph is getting started with school and I am taking one more day of relaxation-no housework. It's snowing quite a bit right now. The pups are having fun in the backyard. French toast and bacon for dinner with strawberry banana smoothies.
I saw on the weather forecast your area may get another late season snow storm! I hope you don't get snowed in or anything.
Enjoy your last day of relaxation!!
It looks like we are in for quite a bit of snow today. The plows have already been out. I don't think DS or DH intends to shovel. It is suppose to warm up and it will melt pretty quickly. It's pretty on our pine trees.
Zeph went out to build a snow fort. The pups are not happy that he is out and that they are in! I am trying to set up my free trial Audible account so we could listen to some books for school. He's juggling a few so I thought an audio book would be a nice break and there a few on my book list that the library does not have. I think I've got it set, but now I have to figure out how to get it from the desktop onto his iTouch. We're starting with Chasing Lincoln's Killer. I think we might all listen to this one.
Let me know how it goes, I've been thinking about getting one of those accounts if anything for the car, my CD player doesn't work and I've downloaded some podcasts, but I was thinking audio books might be nice also.
Hi everyone, hope the day went smoothly for each of you. Here, it was a busy workday, nothing bad, just busy and then errands after work.
Ian had a regular school day, then stayed after for an extra help session with his science teacher. Kayleigh had school and something after. NOw she came home complaining that her gums hurt - she never complains about anything and I hope she just scraped them with something she ate as a visit to the dentist is not in the budget but we'll go if necessary.
Tonight, I"m making shrimp for Ian and myself. Dh and Kayleigh can have hot dogs (she wont' be thrilled, he will be). The boys are going to Scouts. I am having a momentous evening - writing out the deposit check for Kayleigh's college! I have champagne chilling
Hey ladies, good evening. We are just south of Cincinnati in Florence, KY. We were hoping to get to just north of Cincinnati but we had rain, snow or both the entire way. Talk about gusts of wind too. We ll make it on time for the viewing since doesn't start until 2pm tomorrow. We left an hour later then planned but that is fine.
I do not like audio books. I retain more information while I read. I like to stop and think and while I have an audio book going I think while it is playing and then miss out. Zeph on the other hand, loves audio books. Most often I'll get him the actual book and the audio so he can note take since for his literature group he often needs to cite page numbers to back imagery, symbolism, etc. Usually I get the books on cd from the library-free. There were a few on the reading lists this year this year that the library didn't have and I timed it wrong for inter-library loan.
Setting up an account was easy- it ties into your Amazon account. I had to download the ap for the iTouch and then was all set. This is what gave me problems. None of us are iTouch savvy yet. I have a free trial month with 2 free books. I probably won't keep it past the free month. I think the service is expensive. My DH loves podcasts! He's alwasy sharing something he heard.

Sorry to hear the weather is turning this into a multi day drive for your family. Stay safe.
