Good morning ladies, how are you today?
Typical morning in our house. Everyone got off just fine and I am now at work. Dishes are in the dishwasher on a delay timer and ready to be washed. Dinner is laid out, I did remember today! Matthew has an Orthodontist appointment just after school but I am picking him up at the beginning of 4th block because that class is PE and they dress out. I don't want to wait on him to change and take a chance on being late. After his appointment we will probably get a snack, he was begging for one yesterday. LOL Told him maybe today. That is all our excitement for the day. Tim and I came to the conclusion that Matthew might be in summer school the month of June. Not a proablem, just the cost. Ugh. But he really needs to retake Algebra 1B again to make sure he has a good foundation for next years math. Right now it's an F and by the end of the year he might be able to get it to a D, if he's lucky a C but he said there was a lot he was just lost on in the last section and didn't bother to ask for help. So, he needs to redo it. I will be filling out the paperwork today for that.
Dinnier tonight is going to be steaks and baked potatoes with something green.
Quiet day here. DH and I spent the last hour in bed playing Words by Post. I would much rather play Scrabble at the table. He'd like us to be able to play when he travels.
School today. I plan to go to the track and the library. I need to sign Zeph up for break dancing at the Y. One of his friends was interested in the class and wanted a friend to join him. This gives Zeph classes 4 nights a week which I don't like, but we'll make it work.
If the rain holds off, DH will grill for dinner. If not, french toast and sausage with kale smoothies.
Heather, do you have any thyroid issues? I only ask because I have talked with a few people lately that do and most don't know that eating raw kale, brocolli and cabbage is actually bad for thyroid function. Since you mentioned kale smoothies I thought I'd mention it:
I was up late last night chatting with my brother on the phone and then talking with Jordyn about the prom dress issue, and then was woken several times, I really need to lock the bedroom door or something at night...
I got up and got Emma to school and then Madison to daycare. I am working on several projects today at work. Its supposed to be a lovely day, so I am hoping since the popcorn place isn't too far from work that I'll walk over there at lunch to order some pink and white popcorn for Emma's party this weekend and then head up to the bagel shop for their ground coffee, I am all out at home. Tonight, more party prep, list making, etc. I do need to hunt down a few more goodie bags, so if DH is home, I may leave the kids with him and run out on some errands closer to the house, if not, I'll take care of them on lunch tomorrow. Tonight, not sure what's for dinner yet, something with chicken, and some brocollli, or cauliflower. or I'll just do a frozen skillet meal, depends on what I'm in the mood for tonight.
Have a great one!!
Hi, everyone. I am doing all right. It is day two of test week in our district. DD had the math portion of the grad exam today, and I can't remember what DS had today. I know yesterday it was the science portion of the MCAs for him. Anyway, his orthodontist appointment conflicted with the test, so I called the orthodontist's office as soon as it opened to reschedule. I headed out for school and tutored for an hour before class. Then I had class (it's a block class, so it lasts for two hours), picked up a couple of things at Target (I am so tired of gray, cold, dirty snow and mud--I got a new doormat and pretty new pillows for the screen porch), picked up DS from school, and now I am procrastinating on doing my assignment from class today. DD is working tonight, DS is holed up in his room (doing homework, I hope), and DH is napping, which will result in him not being able to sleep tonight, I am sure. Dinner tonight is leftovers. After dinner I need to get organized for tomorrow morning. DS has an orthopedist appointment tomorrow morning in Duluth, for his knee. We need to be on the road no later than 7:00 tomorrow morning.
Hi all. Odd day schedule wise at work. State testing began and even though my class doesn't take any of those tests, the kids were out of sorts due to lunch, specials, snack and recess being at different times. But since my own lunch was so much later, the afternoon flew by.
Kayleigh had a regular school day. Ian had state testing, so two hours of test and then shortened periods, same through Thursday. He came home saying he wanted to quit band. I had to tell him that the beginning of fourth quarter was just too late.
After work, cookied a yummy Asian meatloaf. Must have been good since the kids said they really liked it and they are not big meatloaf fans (but it's one of Dh's absolute favorites). Ian and Dh went to scouts, I hung out and watched tv, had a glass of wine and must have slept decent because this morning I didn't wake up tired!
