Good morning ladies.  It should be a pretty quiet day here.  A few projects to work on for work and hopefully a nap at lunch time.  I should really go grocery shopping, but I doubt I'll feel like it.  i also need to walk over to the post office to mail a letter and get stamps.

Tonight, not sure yet.  The store didn't have an rottiserie chickens last night when I stopped on the way home so we had breakfast tacos for dinner, so I will try again tonight to see if they have one so we can have chicken and veggies for dinner and the the leftovers can go into chicken noodle soup tomorrow in the crock pot, that's my goal anyways.

Have a great one!

Good morning.  DH is still asleep.  DS just woke up.  After yesterday's activites, he fell into bed tired.  Tennis class happened  and he really enjoyed it.  DH drove and observed saying that the instructors kept the kids engaged and moving.  DS enjoyed the drills and the explanation of the court and rules. Now we just need some dry days/nights to keep the courts open!

I booked our room for the History Bee in Atlanta and I sent in the registration.  Now to figure out our sight seeing details...  Unless the money fairy visits us, I think we'll be camping on the way down.

After school DS would like me to find a how-to video on the comptuer for one of the dance steps from break dance class. He had it in class, but is mixed up now.  Hoping DH will run out and buy gold spray paint so DS can finish his replica cartridge box.  The sewing is done, he just needs to add the emblem.  Thursday he has an opportunity to display his Civil War projects and wants to have this done.

Just another normal morning.  Nothing exciting going on today.  Yesterday I let Katie have a friend over so she could help her get her research paper done.  Katie got her done weeks ago and ended up with a 93 on it.  Natalie messed around and turned hers in late and got a 92.  How does that happen?  This happens to them just this way all the time.  Natalie procrastinates and turns it in late and doesn't put in as much work and will get a similar or better grade then Katie.  I just don't understand it.  Doesn't seem fair to Katie.  Today, nothing that I know of going on today.  Chores and homework tonight.  I am making pork chops for dinner with either asparagus or green beans, sautee'd.

Hugs Chelle, believe me, it won't happen like that in high school at all. I am actually amazed that Jordyn gets extra credit in some classes for turning in papers early, which is nice when she knows she's going to be in a time crunch closer to the due date, or she knows she isn't going to necessarily get a wonderful grade no matter how hard she works, so getting it done sooner with the extra credit will help her out.

I hope not Tracy. Makes me feel bad for Katie. She has always worked her booty off on her school work. She comes right home and will start a project, gets it done early and ends up with a grade just lower then Natalie who did hers the night before and to me looks like crap. Katie's is always neat and orderly. A lot of thought and effort gone into it and she doesn't get the credit she deserves I feel. I hope it finally shows in HS for sure. I hope her practice and putting the time into it pays off for her.

I will admit though, my brother is like Natalie, even in college, he could read an entire book the night before, do a book report at 3 a.m., hand it into class at 9 a.m. and get a high B or low A on it easily where i would have to work my tail off for weeks for the same grade.  Some kids (Jordyn included) naturally tend to "absorb" things easier than others.  But at least in high school, sometimes kids are rewarded for getting it done more neatly and earlier, it will always depend on a teacher, but I know there have been several over the years that Jordyn has mentioned that give extra points for turning things in earlier than the assigned due dates.

What did you put in our breakfast tacos?  I made breakfast burritos for lunch which were more soft taco like.  While they were good, they were missing something.  In the frying pan I added drained black beans, green chiles, eggs, and frozen( but thawed) bell peppers.  I had cheese, avacado, and pico de gailo for toppings.  Next time  i will use hot chiles and fresh orange and yellow bell peppers for some crunch and better color.   Also, the black beans turend the eggs purplish which was odd looking.  Everyone liked it (and no one complained about the whole wheat tortillas -first time I used them) but thought it needed something...  Thoughts?

We are simple, we just do either sausage or bacon and cheese with the eggs. If DH is home I'll pour some salsa over it or make his separate and add mushrooms, peppers or onions depending on what we have at the house. He will eat anything in his, its the rest of us that are picky. I have gotten the wheat tortillo shells a few times, DH is mostly the one who eats them. I have a recipe for an almond flour one that is gluten free that all of use are good with except for Emma, but I haven't tried to make them ahead of time and its too time consuming to make them on a week night for dinner. I definitely need to try them on a weekend and see if I can make a bunch of them for later in the week or freeze some.

Hi everyone. I feel like it should be later in the week than Tuesday. Felt like a long workday for me, but nothing out of the ordinary happened.  Ian had a regular school day and stayed for extra help in science. Kayleigh had school and then something after.  She heard from her college and her orientation week is Aug 26th so I guess she reports on the 25th.  There will be more information later on.

Tonight, quick dinner of hot dogs, beans and salads. we are going three different places but only have two vehicles.  Ian and Dh are going to scouts, Kayleigh is babysitting and I am going to the BOE meeting because one of the other TA's in my room is getting tenure tonight.  I think Kayleigh will drop off the guys and I can pick them up.  If I have time to kill, I can always go to Starbucks.
