Good morning ladies.  My youngest temper tantrum thrower was in wonderful form again this morning.  DH keeps telling me i just need to leave without her one morning and she'll stop it right away.  I know he can easily take her (well, easily, as in, get Emma to school late yet again and also be late for work...), but I have a hard time leaving her.  We'll see, if tomorrow morning is anything like this morning, I may just do it and see what happens for once.  Of course it may help a bit more if DH wouldn't lay around in bed telling me to stop stressing out and maybe get up and actually assist me with things... (I'll stop complaining now).

No real plans today, I may go walk at lunch.  Tonight Emma has a piece in the district art show, so we are going to try and get over to the ceremony thingy they are having, but it ends at 6:30 and that's cutting it close to get home to get dinner ate and then make it to the library in time.  But we'll try, and then we are going to stop and pick up potted plants for the kids' teachers for teacher appreciation week.  I also need to pick up Mother's day cards to get in the mail tomorrow.  Or maybe I'll do that on lunch, it'll save me the aggravation tonight...

I have a roast and veggies in the crock pot and I still have lots of laundry to fold and put away tonight.

Have a great one!

Morning.  I am not feeling too well today.  I started having the scratchy throat yesterday and achy head.  Today it's just a little worse with a litle bit of coughing.  I took the girls in to school today so Katie had more time to organize her backpack.  Had breakfast ready for them this morning again and more state testing today for them.  I think I am leaving work early so I can get Matthew enrolled in summer school.  The hours of enrollment are 8am - 2:30pm.  I work from 9am -2:30pm.  So I will run over there today and take care of it.  Tonight Natalie is wanting to go get a hair cut and Matthew is wanting to find a store and look at it.  But I think we will wait for that until another day.

Tonight we will have tacos or mexican salad.

I'm going to start off with a brag.  Zeph was amazing last night at the showcase!  He was engaging and interacted  with the viewers.  He drew them in, answered questions and his enthusiasm was contagious.  Some of the kids just sat there and  answered questions in a monotone simple sentences.  He had a crowd at his table almost all night.  The librarian invited him to join TAG (teen advisory group).  Sadly we are not residents of this library system, but I use it as our main library as a recipricol borrorrower.  The group looks interesting and I am going to talk to her further.  if I pay for a non-resident card, I think he can join.   It looks like a good transcript builder,  service hours, and the librarians would be awesome references:)

Now for my vents... I asked DH 2 days ago to fix the screen door (again) that the dogs ripped.  When we bought the last screen, I suggested buying 2 or more rolls, since the pups are slow learners.  He said he'd go out and just buy more if needed.  Two days ago the light switch in our bedroom broke.  He said he'd fix it.  Neither have been fixed. This morning at 7:30 ( I was already up, showered, had a load of laundry put away, another one running and the dishwasher unloaded) he said he'd teach Zeph to use the lawn mower about 8.  About 8:00 DH was still in bed playing on his phone doing nothing.   Then he decided to leave to go to Home Depot (knowing he had a 9:00 call), but took 20 minutes investigating the light switch so he could buy the right one.  I asked him to stop at Target-which is right next to Home Depot- for 2 things. That was too much for him.  He actually called me from Target because he couldn't find the detergent. He's still not home so I assume he had to take the call in his car.  If he had left at 8, he'd be home and I would have laundry going and he could have taken his call in the office.

I invited my parents and grandma over for Z's brithday for cake and they don't want to do the drive which  I understand.  It's a 3 hour drive round trip and they are getting older and they are doing the drive for Mother's Day, dad was just here for his birthday and mom is coming back in ealry June.  She invited us there for cake.  Okay. Then she wants to make a big meal, but she makes such a big production of everything that it stresses out my dad out and guests.  I convinced her just cake. What kind of ice cream and cake, what colors on the cake, what should it say?   Any answers I give her, she criticizes.  I'm telling her what Zeph would enjoy, it is for him.  They don't want to give him money towards a bike or guitar (both of what he really wants) and decided he should get a camera. He doesn't need a camera.   She asked DH to look into good mid price digital cameras.  DH found 3 and she said they are all more than she wanted to spend.    Why not spend less and get him what he wants? Now DH is suppose to find less costly digital cameras, but they have to be available at Best Buy or Target because that's where she will shop.  Why are DH and I deciding so much for her when she wanted to do this?

When I'm in a better mood I'll post about my day.

I went up at lunch and signed up the girls for swim lessons.  I put it off too long and the saturday morning class for Madison was already full, so I decided to sign up Emma anyways and then I'll put Madison in the play area during the swim lesson while I go work out.  I know Madison will not like it, but since Emma's lesson gets over at 11, which is when the family pool opens up to be used, I am hoping i can bribe Madison to play in the play place for the 30 minute lesson while I work out if I tell her if she does it, then we can go in the pool together afterwards.  I did go ahead and sign her up for the next session that starts June 8th so I was guarenteed a spot.  Its a 8:30 a.m. class, I am banking on Emma passing this lesson and advancing into the next group so that then both kids will have the same 8:30 lesson time.  If Emma doesn't advance, I will change Madison's lesson to the 10:45 lesson time and Emma will also have to take the class over again at the 10:45 lesson time.  I want them both in lessons at the same time if possible hoping i can go work out during the lesson... we'll see if it all works out for me...  I also signed them up for Friday night parents' night out this Friday.  DH has an army buddy that takes assignments over in afghanistan here and there and has been deployed for a year now and is finally back in town with his wife.  He called last night to see if we could get together this weekend, we already have plans most of the weekend, but could squeeze in about 2 hours Friday night with them as long as I could find a sitter, and the Y is free once a month, we just have to have them picked up by 8, which gives us a convenient excuse not to stay too late.

I am in a much better mood.  DH wound up micromanaging too much wiht the lawn mowing and Zeph got fed up.  Well do it your self then.  DH hates to mow, why not pass it on to the kid?  Instead Zeph helped me weed and turn over a planting bed.  I purned an evergreen bush which was qwuite therapeutic- snip snip.  My shoulders are feelign it already!  Then Zeph and I tackled his garage toys- 2 large storage organizers, 2 rubbermaid bins and a shelving unit.  We got rid of a ton and eliminated the shelving unit and storage bin and an organizer.   I also cleaned out a ton of junk the ILs had left on the garage shelves.  We went through 2 packing boxes.

After lunch we're headed to Home Depot to get soil and a variety of sunflower seeds and then to the nursery for hanging baskets.

Right now he's working oan a history lesson and I'm off to make sandwiches.  Hoping to get his bike cleaned up so we can take it for a trade in also.  I have disgusting smelly shells form the ocean sitting in the water table soaking- they've been in plastic bags fermenting in a pile in the garage since last September.  Some are pretty so I hope they'll dry nicely and clean smelling.

Hi everyone.  Chelle, I hope you will be feeling better soon.

It was a pretty good day at work, nothing out of the ordinary. The kids had regular school days, Kayleigh stayed late for something.  Ian has scouts tonight.  WE are having butternut/barley risotto and zucchini latkes.

I had planned on getting a bunch of things done tonight but I do not think much is going to happen.,

Have a great evening
