Good morning ladies, how is everyone this morning?
Good morning ladies. Been busy this morning with projects and things at work, and random text messages and calls from DH and my brothers... I have a few errands to run at lunch time and then a book to pick up for Emma on the way home from work tonight. Paperwork for DH tonight and maybe some laundry, not quite sure yet. I am sorely lacking motivation to do anything around the house at night lately, but I know i need to get in gear, we have relatives that will be here in 2 weeks!! For dinner I am doing chicken and veggie stir fry.
Have a great one!
I had a horrid time getting on Ivillage today, I asked DH to make sure it wasn't our computer. Instead he changed my log in and password and deleted my shortcuts to the boards I frequent. I don't believe I asked him to do any of that. Than after some huffing and puffing he restored them, cleared out our cookies and now it is working. I had to show him I could get on with my laptop (which Zeph was using for school) and his laptop, but not the desktop. If he had just done what I asked it would have saved us both some aggrevation and time. Grr!
Happily the assignment Zeph was writing (a historical fiction piece based on his life) is turning out well. HIstechnical writing needs work, but when it comes to something creative, he soars. He's editing now. Some other school and then yard work this afternoon. I'd like to get to the grocery store to pick up a cake mix (making chocolate cherry cake) and steak for his steak and egg breakfast for Zeph's birthday. Sometime this evening I'd also like to make 7 layer salad for tomorrow's dinner.
Yesterday was a great day. Zeph's coughing had stopped (only doing it at night and first thing in the morning before his shower) so he went with to the last literature club meeting. Beautiful day at the park, tons of junk food, some fun wrap up book activites and then 2 hours of boys playing pick up games of baseball and basketball.
Dinner tonight is on the deck-brats, corn on the cob, baked beans and fruit salad.
I hired a friend's 15 year old son to be Zeph's art tutor this summer. He is an amazing artist and great with kids-he's got younger sibs. The art program we're using is half art history( I can manage that) and half art projects in the style of the time period. I am inept at drawing and I micromanage his art so i hope this will be a good fix. I have no idea what to pay. Does $25 a session (1.5 to 2) hours sound right?
Afternoon. I too have been a busy lady this morning too. I am heating up my lunch and will find more to do. Planning to work thorugh lunch cause I am trying to make up a missed day from last week. I am starting to feel better. I have a cough that I am ready to kick to the curb. Everyone got off and out of the house on time. The kids are so ready for summer break. Getting out of bed is harder and harder. Matthew comes close these days to missing his bus he's running so behind. I might start waking him earlier. LOL Nothing going on tonight. I am sure the kids still need to do some studying for finals but I yet have seen them crack open a book or to any type of review. Ugh. I may take Natalie to get a Starbucks, that was a mothers day gift they all gave me.
Dinner tonight will be boneless pork chops.
Regular work day,. My sister is stable. Trying to decide if I should visit again.
Ian had a regular school day and scouts tonight.
Kayleigh had an eventful day. She was referred to two different scholarships and was able to get some assistance to go to senior ball. I think she is glad that she is going. hopefully she can get a dress by then
