Well, I was well on my way to getting to work on time this morning, my first day back to work since last Thursday.  Had the kids all packed up, dressed, shoes on, hair bows in, ready to go and go out to the truck to put some things in it and find a large pool of red transmission fluid under it. Frown  So, sent the kids back in the house, told DH and off we went to drop the truck off at the repair shop.  I have Jordyn's car now for the day and she has DH's truck and gas money for at least today...  We'll see how much this one is going to cost us.

As for work, reacclimating to things, it looked like it was pretty quiet while I was gone, but lots of little projects are now on my to do list.  I am debating whether i run errands at lunch or just work through it to save the time, we'll see how I feel or if I hear from DH about the truck first.  Tonight, I have some paperwork to do, laundry, cleaning up from the family being in town, and potentially grouting the tile on the fireplace.

Have a great one!!

Laundry is going.  The cat is glad to have us back and is very talkative.  I'm going to pick up the pups who had a blast. I'm sure once their initial excitement of seing us is over, they'll sleep for a day or two.  I want to finish most of the unpacking today and get to the grocery store/Target.  I spent the monring on the phone with afreind whos FIL died while we were gone and it's complicated. She and I will see each other Thursday, but I knew the venue was not a place we could talk freely.   I'm gald we got to catch up and I know she was happy for the supportive ear.   I want  to to call a summer camp that Zeph is interested in.  I'm not sure, it;s his first sleepaway camp and  I kned to decide today.   This afternoon Zeph has an art history lesson and some middle ages history to work on.  It stormed here while we were gone and the deck/yard is a mess with debris.  Hoping DH will work on that.

I want to say that I am having no troubles today posting and I didn't have to log in at all today.  It's been an easy day on IV today.  My car is in the shop getting something fixed.  I am driving Tim's car today.  We should get it back today.  I came in a bit early cause I need to make up for a few hours.  I left yesterday early due to a Dr's appointment yesterday that turned out they had canceled and didn't bother to call and tell me.  I got a confirmation call on my answering machine but not a cancellation call.  I was upset cause of leaving work early and then after I waslked out of there I almost got hit in the parking lot.  Some stupid lady was so focused on getting into a parking spot that NO ONE was going to get but her, no ther cars in the parking lot parking at the time, that she didn't even see me.  I had to side step her a few times cause she made this wide turn and was going really fast.  Needless to say I was upset by the time I got into my car and wanted to have a nervous breakdown but I didn't.  Dropped the car off at the auto shop after that and they brought me home.  Tim came hom later and he and I went for a Starbucks and some alone time.  I needed it.  Today IS a better day and going really well.  I am debating wether to go out for lunch or eat what I brought.  I want to get out of here, it's cold.  After work I am picking Tim up and getting my car as long as they are done with it.  Otherwise I will go home and see if my chat about chores at dinner last night sunk in.  Hope ya'll are having a good day!

I don't know about dinner.  Maybe hamburgers.

I hope people are having a good day.

Kristen still has no job :(  Anyone got any work for a 19 year old college sophomore who's majoring in Music Ed?  Sigh.  She's frustrated.  I'm frustrated.  I was hoping the job search would be easier for her this year since she's graduated high school.  I guess not.  She put in an application for a cashier at Lowes so we'll see what happens with that. Sigh.  I told her she's going to have to do something.  We help as much as we can,  but I can't pay for the $200 anime confrence that she wants to go to.  She's going to have to come up with that cash all by herself.

The inlaws came last week.  Sigh.  They frustrate me- they do.  But now FIL has me worried.  He's had trouble walking for a couple of years, but it's gotten really bad.  Like he can't even go a couple of steps without it causing trouble.  He says it's "weak ankles".  I don't know.  I googled some of the symptoms he has (like he has pain when he's walking, it goes away when he sits down- the hair on one of his legs is kind of non-exsitant) and it very well could be an artery clogged in on of his legs.  Sigh. We walked 4 blocks to a restaurant and he struggled to get there.

He fell when he was here.  We have this step down from our front door to the living room.  I don't know how he missed it- but he went down.  On his knees.  Hit his chin on one of the cedar chests they gave us.  And then he couldn't get back up.  Mil was trying to help him (and of course she couldn't).  He did eventually get himself up- but it took a while.  Their home is currently on the market, and MIL keeps going back and forth about leaving.  And THEN fil says "Well if you want to stay we'll make it work".  IMHO they have no business at almost 80 years of age living on a 100 acre farm 30 minutes away from my sister in law, and a quarter mile away from the nearest neighbor.  Heaven help us if fil fell, got seriously hurt- and mil couldn't get him up/ couldn't find anyone to help/ had to wait for the ambulance (and i have no idea where the nearest one is- I think it's in the town next to them and that could be as far as 10 miles away).

I emailed my sil and told her what happened.  I felt like a snitch.  I don't think fil said anything about falling.  Now I wonder if it's happened before and they just haven't told us.  Sigh.  She promised she wouldn't say anything- but I had to say SOMETHING.  It scared me, dh and mil.

Dh is as concerned as I am.  If we had any kind of ability to do so- i'd sell the house here and then go build something on the land next to the inlaws.  So i could keep an eye on them and then MIL wouldn't have to sell her house of 40 years.  But it's just not going to happen.  Dh likes his job.  Becca's got 2 more years of high school.  Kristen's school is 3 hours away from here, and it would be a whole lot further away if we went there.

Thank you for listening to me.

Anyways- i need to go do something around here.  I did food closet at church this morning.  Becca's got this orchestra award cermony/ concerto concert that she's playing in tonight that i'd like to go to.  No clue what's for dinner.

Got to go- Kristen's whining about her computer not connecting to the internet.
