Well, Kristen is still sick but at school. Her throat hurts, she almost coughed until she threw up this morning, her nose is stuffed up and she has a slight fever but I think it would have taken wild horses to keep her home from the second last day at school. She has a drama club party and afterschool they are going to a movie with a huge group so she'd rather die a slow and agonizing death than miss this. LOL I won't be home in time to take her as they have to be about 1/2 hour from our house at 5:00 so she's going to a friend's right afterschool and her Dad will drive them then another friend is picking them up.
Work is work. Total lack of motivation, blah blah blah. Same old same old. My colleague with whom I go for tea nearly everyday has decided he's going to go to the Netherlands for a posting this summer so I will miss our almost daily breaks, but he was moving on to a different position anyway, but I'm kind of sad about that. I'm just looking forward to vacation. Have to wait until July 12 for that. More blah blah blah.
I have to say I find it odd though that she seems healthy to you, and then ,supposedly, gets diarrhea again while in care. I think I would maybe pop in announced some time during the day. Children can be/seem perfectly healthy in the morning and then get really sick while in my care, or be/seem perfectly healthy all day to go home and get really sick in the evening. But I would wonder what this provider is doing.
Maybe it is nervousness that is causing her loose bowels? That really isn't faking it KWIM.Poor kid.Hopfully your reg sitter will have her baby soon.Is Jordyn enjoying her time in MI?
Thanks Jean, Emma has only been with this sitter for not even 2 weeks yet, and 2 1/2 of those days she wasn't there or I picked her up early and its only a temporary sitter.
Thanks Laura, yes, I am beginning to think that even though she was sick last week, its either the lingering affects of it, or yes just nervousness about being in a new place with all new kids.
I so wish that we lived closer and that I could help you out until your babysitter is ready to watch her again. I really feel for you. Where we live now there is such a need for loving caregivers, and I just wish I could help more families. I hope your babysitter has had the baby, and everyone's doing well, and that she is ready to start watching Emma again really soon.
