We haven't exactly decided yet. It will be just Jordyn and I. I have a small baby shower the day before and I asked Jordyn last night what she wanted to do if the in-laws invited us over. She said she preferred to just stay home, but when I explained to her that it would be for dinner in the afternoon/early evening she said going there was fine, she just didn't want to go over in the morning. (yes as far as I know she still believes in the Easter bunny and is plenty excited to hunt easter eggs). It seems a little strange to stay home all by ourselves on Easter, but if we do, we do, not a huge deal to me.
This year my parents are coming to our house. The last several years we've gone to brunch near my parents house with my mom's family. I haven't done much in terms of planning yet but I've got time and since I'm resting my leg (update in another post) I'll probably get to it in the next day or two. I'll probably hide baskets for the kids and put together one for my parents. Maybe I'll do one for dh too. I'm thinking I'll pot some little pansies and use those for the table. Need to dig up or buy new placemats and napkins too. So much shopping, so little time. LOL!!!
We have a 4 day weekend up here. All government and school's have Friday the 6th and Monday the 9th off. I think on the Friday pretty much everything is closed up tight.
Kristen will be at her Dad's on Friday and Saturday, she has a curling bonspeil on Monday and not sure if we'll do anything Sunday or not. We may just hang out and relax.
We will be in AZ. My in-laws have flown us there for the past 3 years. They fly in my brother in law, his wife and (11 yr old dd) too. I called mother in law yesterday and told her to find me a church to go to. I don't want to miss Easter service. :)
We'll probably have a barbecue for dinner. Mother in law loves to cook and have all the neighbors over for dinner. Should be fun.
I know I need to get Hannah some dark Godiva choc. She loves that stuff. :) Mother in law will make the kids baskets full of junk food. :) I'm surprised Hannah has never had a cavity. Mother in law loads her up with choc.
I have to admit this one was inspired by Martha Stewart. Today she did little pots with pansies in them as decorations. I was thinking I would find some little white pots and use them as placecards at Easter lunch. If I've got time, I might paint blackboard ovals on the pots and write the names on in chalk. Paint pens will do the same thing in a pinch. Maybe I'll let the kids decorate them... Still thinking...
Heck, yeah, I know. Our spring break revolves around Easter (we have Good Friday--state holiday--off and the week after Easter).
I would love to attend a multi-denomination sunrise service (6:30 am), but I don't think this is the year as we have 2 birthday parties and an evening wedding the day before. So, I don't know our plans right now.
It's the first holiday without my MIL, and we usually do a crawfish boil with Mike's side of the family on Easter. Also, the whole family will be together the day before at nephew's birthday party.
And, besides, if we leave it up to our niece, we might be visiting the hospital Easter Sunday. Her first child was born (early) on Easter 3 years ago and she's due with her second child pretty soon after Easter.

Do you know when Easter is?
Sunday April 8th
Are you doing anything for Easter?
I believe my parents will be down visiting, so whatever they want to do is what we will do.
Unless I'm mistaken itis on April 8th
We'll be having a quiet family day, the kids will hunt for eggs and I'll make something festive for dinner

Yep, Easter is a week from Sunday.
