Rachel saw the movie w/her friends on Sat night....she didn't like it as much as the book but still enjoyed it. I had no desire to be among a bunch of tween/teen girls ;-) I had told her I read that the actor playing Edward was in the HP movies & she said yes, he had played Diggory. (Only bad thing was that on his way to pick up Rach from the theatre he had an encounter w/a deer that tried to become his hood ornament)
Did you feel lost at times having not read the books?
I enjoyed the movie...the book is so much better, but they are entirely 2 different entities. Like one synopsis and the author of the books and the screenwriter made up their own story on that synopsis.
But some things happened that weren't "defined" in the movie that I felt like someone who didn't "know" would feel like they missed something. Like the zooming in on the eyes...did you get the different colors?
it is pg 13.Gabby is kind of indifferent about seeing it.Not sure Matthew would be that interested becasue it is kind of romantic.Gabby does not like the books.but most of her friends love them(which is probably why she does not like them;-) ).
Hmm. . . The romance would definitely make him uncomfortable. He used to get all embarrassed when Michael and I kissed, even though he's seen that all his life, LOL.
Not too sure why he wants to see it. I guess he's hearing about it in school and thinks it's about vampires.

I read about the deer encounter in your other post.

I just heard about 2 deer accidents around here. Not sure if hunting season opened yet, but it's definitely time!
No, I didn't feel lost.
I did catch on to the changing color of the eyes.
I can't say as I blame him.
I think my dh would have the same feelings.
I have to admit being totally clueless on the whole "Twilight" rage
I am not a fantasy person (Never even read HP, although I did see the first movie, and did enjoy it)
Matthew has just started talking about going to see "Twilight" this past week
He's heard about it at school
Is it appropriate for a 10 year-old?
