My anniversary on 10/10 (11 years this year!), the Charlie Brown holiday specials, Thanksgiving, the cooler weather & the end of hurricane season on November 30!

Um, we used to go downtown for trick-or-treating but now that Sherina's in 5th grade, I guess we'll have to start a new one!

Still crossing our fingers that Ike stays out of the way--it's looking really good for you & me right now!

Did y'all do anything special for your 10th on 10/10 last year?

Good morning, Alysha!

Unfortunately, no; DH had to work & although schools were on fall break, we didn't do anything!

Share with us two things you love about Autumn. (feel free to share more) Like the cooler weather after our hot, humid summers & that school starts so my girls are now getting some brainwork ;-) Personally I enjoy the apple cider/pumpkin pie as well as Stayman winesap apples which seem to only be available in fall. Leaves turning color as well as the crisper air is picture pretty & I love being able to sleep w/the windows open.

Do you and your family have any traditions? I usually try to take the girls out to the orchard for pumpkins, now that they're getting older maybe we'll start apple picking too. DH tries to do pumpkin carving w/them too & we're more likely to have hot chocolate nights when its cooler, which the girls love too. Also I love baking in the fall when its cooler - I try to whip up a batch of homemade cookies more often or brownies.
