Well, we are atheist so we aren't "religious" and don't attend church. It is important to me though and how I live my life.

1. How important is Religion in your family? We are not a religious family. We do believe in something "higher", we just havent figured out what it is.

2. Do you go regularly? Do you make your kids go to church or do they go willing and happily? We do not go to church, but if our kids are interested they can go with friends or family members who go. We do not stop them, and we talk openly about religions.

1. How important is Religion in your family?

Our faith is the center of our home and our family. We say that we don't have a religion, we have a relationship. I can't imagine even proceeding through my day without my faith. Our faith is the core of our discipline as well, as we back all lessons, concerns and information with Biblical principals and scripture. Dh listens to his Bible on CD on the ride into work each morning and can usually be found with Bible in hand every night. Ds listens to his audio Bible before going to bed each night and usually has at least one Bible study going. I would say 80% of his choice reading comes from our library's Christian Fiction section. Same can be said for his music choices.

2. Do you go regularly? Do you make your kids go to church or do they go willing and happily?

We attend a worship gathering every week and are active with our church community. I've done Bible studies, hosted small life groups in my home and been a part of a few of the women's groups. Dh edits recordings of the weekly serons and puts them on the church website. He also creates a podcast for them. Ds is extremly involved and usually is at church for 4 hours each Sunday. He attends the 8:30 worship hour with us, then helps out in the preschool room for second worship hour and is an usher for third. He'll usher 2nd and 3rd hour if they don't need him in the preschool room. My son also attends the church youth group every Friday night (two hours)and helps out with the Vacation Bible School every summer. His participation and work in our Church done with a very joyfilled heart. Connor wants to be a Pastor, so he's getting as involved as he can in order to grow in his faith.

1. How important is Religion in your family?

I would say religion in pretty important in our family. My kids go to a Catholic school. I love the fact that they have religion class every day and can say prayers. I like the environment where faith and values are stressed. The kids say bedtime prayers at night.

2. Do you go regularly? Do you make your kids go to church or do they go willing and happily?

Yes, we go to church every Sunday. Even when we are out of town. I'm not sure that every week the kids go willing and happily, but they never argue about it.

Spirituality (belief in "God") is highly important. Religion (church) is unimportant.

If there is a church available that does not fill my kids' heads with extreme, dangerous, narrow-minded, bigoted, and/or false beliefs, then I would attend regularly. In the absence of that, our family creates our own spiritual basis and we practice prayer and other forms of worship regularly.
