Here's San Antonio...I'll do some more, but I have to go get Aly up.
On my list: definitely 1) Sea World, 2) SA Zoo, 3) Riverwalk boats 4) Riverwalk (I'd put RFC, but I haven't been to that one yet), 5) The Alamo (although we didn't go in--Aly was only 2 and we were headed to the Children's Museum), 6) SA Children's Museum.

Ottawa, Canada
1. The Parliament Buildings - tour and go up the Peace Tower
2. If you can, Canada Day on Parliament Hill and Major's Hill Park. Fireworks, concerts and 100,000 of your nearest and dearest friends.
3. The Museum of Civilization in Gatineau across the river.
4. The Agricultural Museum - pet the animals, make homemade ice-cream and wagon rides.
5. Cruise on the canal
6. Come in winter and skate on the world's longest outdoor skating rink (the canal)
7. The Gatineau Hills, hiking, camping, enjoying the gorgeous leaves in the fall.
8. The Museum of Science and Technology. Tons of hands on stuff for kids and things for grown-ups too.
9. Fireworks competition in the summer at the Casino. I am addicted to these now.
10.
In the Washington DC area of course the museums are on top of people's sight seeing list. The Air & Space, Natural History & American History are ones my girls also enjoy. Washington Monument, Lincoln & Jefferson Memorial, White House (not me personally but usually take out of towners there), the Nat'l Zoo esp the pandas. Also Hains Point on the Potomac (popular w/bikers & golfers) and the girls love riding the Metro, which is the subway. I take the subway everyday to work so its not so much a novelty to me but the system has the longest escalator in N. America ;-) The Kennedy Center which is next to Rock Creek Park & the Potomace has lots of free summer concerts so a good place for those that enjoy the arts.

LOL you know I was just going to post to you today - Hubs and I were talking and we realized that next year instead of our annual trip to California - we'll probably end up in WA state - Hubs's Grandmother is from there and has not been doign too well health wise, so we thought it would be good to go and visit the family we have up there!
