The wait alone is just obscene! And then to see them going into someone elses room is just too much, I would be very upset.

Wow, so glad to hear DH is not the only one still living in the 80s (had to laugh at that Rod Stewart thing, LOL!) I really, really want him to read "Staying Connected to Your Teenager," because right now he does everything the opposite of what the book suggests! He is so black & white and loves to lecture; doesn't realize that's exactly how to make 'em tune out. And SO out of touch as far as the computer/cell phone/music culture. He's never even home and he complains out of the blue about the amount of video games the kids play -- HELLO? I don't think they've gone near their video games all summer!? Where is THAT coming from???

Anyway, it is good to hear that others are in the same boat. My vent really wasn't going to be about that, LOL, but just the fact that he has been working so many hours, 7 days a week, and now he is out of town golfing; I have one lousy jewelry party thing to go to this weekend, and it is like trying to schedule an appointment with the President of the United States getting him to commit to stay home w/ the kids for 2 hours so I can go. I am so frustrated.

That is so true about most men. They never think twice about making plans to do fun stuff because of course we will be with he kids. However, whenever I need to do something I almost feel like I have to ask permisssion not really but KWIM.Dale is good about spending time with Gabby, but it is always on his terms. Then if she has plans he is all hurt, because she does not want to do something with him.Drives me crazy some days. Can you leave the boys for a couple of hours at home?
