The temp here is 32F or 0C with light snow and freezing rain and a forecast of 100% freezing rain this afternoon. Busses are cancelled and I'm staying home. Not sure if ex will make it in to pick up Kristen or not.

Reporting in from Denver with my earmuffs and mittens on...gee I'm good at typing! LOL!

We received about a foot of snow, which is no big deal because it's all powdery...not that icy stuff that's causing some much trouble across the country! (Hubby's mad he had to go to work today instead of going snowboarding like he wanted...no one local goes on weekends cause it's too crowded) Temps have been well below zero, I think we had a high of 13 on wednesday. Didn't get above freezing yesterday but today we should get to 36ish. This snow should mostly melt today but we're supposed to get more snow on saturday. I heard on the news that in Denver (besides the fact that we ALL LOVE SNOW) the reason it's not so bad here is because it's usually powdery and because we're at such a high elevation it melts so fast. What will be gone in two-three days here will last for weeks in places like Kansas and the Great Lakes when temps are cold. We had tons of meltage yesterday when it didn't get out of the 20's!
