Good morning ladies, its Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving!  How is everyone today, what are your plans?  I know it'll be pretty quiet here over the weekend, so feel free to share your Thanksgiving and weekend plans also.

Hi everyone. It was a super busy day at work, a lot going on with our difficult student, problems between the teacher and principal, etc.

After work, I did a few errands, then came home and baked a pumpkin pie for tomorrow.

Ian had a regular school day. Kayleigh had school, GSA and now she is baking a chocolate cake for the death by chocolate.

Tomorrow, we're off to my sister's in the afternoon. I don't have any special weekend plans. I will have a big cleaning day on Friday, hopefully get to the mall one day over the weekend, Kayleigh's bff is supposed to come for dinner one of the days, and I'm supposed to have a Dunkin Donuts date with Ian.  That's about it

Ugh.  The fights that we had with Kristen right before she left for the dorms.  I swear, there were days that I just wanted to kick the child out of the house.  Told her once "Ok- so move out.  Take the whole $1500 you have from graduation and just see how far it gets you.  And BTW- you don't get the van b/c you have paid nothing on it- and you couldn't afford to insure that car for a month with no job".

It's nice to have her home.  But it will be equally nice to drop her off again on Sunday. LOL.  I wish she could find some sort of paid employment for the month she's going to be home.  I've been asking around church, since I work in nursery every Sunday to see if there's anyone who might need help over Christmas break.  I told her she'd need to think about some sort of paid job if she's home for the summer- all I got was an eye roll.

LOL! I am glad that she has matured a bit. I am just tired of everything, between her and DH, she gives all of us attitude and when you point out something you've done for her lately (um, like pay for the repairs to her car...) she gets an attitude about having to help babysit for a few hours or snippy that she KNOWS we do stuff for her. sigh. I actually texted my mother an apology for all the teenage attitude I gave her 20 years ago! I know I was much worse thatn Jordyn is now, but ugh, I am so tired of it right now.

I still get teen attitude :P  But at least it's only 1 teen with attitude, not 2.

She's different.  More mature.  I kind of like it :)  For example- yesterday.  Monday night I had to take Becca to rehersal.  I got up Tuesday morning and went over to church to help at the Food Pantry.  They said they might need a few extra hands b/c it was right before Thanksgiving and they were the only church in this area giving out turkeys.  I had left a mess in the kitchen.

I came back at noon to take Kristen out to get some stuff at Target.  I looked in the dishwasher and said "Did you empty it?"  She said "Yep".  I didn't even ASK her to!

I like this "new" kid :)

I hope you have a lovely visit with Kristn home Cheryl! I have to admit, after this morning already, I am REALLY getting tired of the teen attitude and as much as I hate seeing her go off to college, it'll be a welcome time...

It's been nonstop ever since the kid came home from school.  Between Becca's trip to Hot Springs, and then a party for a friend's 16th (I can't get over some of the gigantic parties some of these girls are having) the opening concert for youth symphony yesterdy, and Kristen needing "stuff"- we've not been home.

Tonight everyone should be home.  Thanksgiving is just us.  And the dog next door- my neighbor went to see her sister so we're watching the dog tonight and tomorrow.  They'll be home late Thursday b/c their son who lives with them has to work at Home Depot for Black Friday.

Nothing for the rest of the weekend.  One of us has to do the Lynchburg trek on Sunday.

She's back in 3 weeks.  Joy.  Dh decided he wanted to do the small group Christmas party here, and we're doing it around when Kristen comes home after finals.  Depending on if she goes to a midnight premere of The Hobbit- she'll be back Fri or Sat.  Kind of wish now he hadn't offered.  Ugh.

Normal day today.  School, errands, bowling league.  DH is will be done with work by 10 so that is nice.   I'm planning to take Zeph to the bookstore after bowling to be Book Angels for the season.  We do it every year and he looks forward to it.  The idea that some kids don't even own a book is awful to my little bibliofile.

Tomorrow I'm planning on makin pumpkin pancakes and sausage for breakfast.  Dinner is at my parents' home midday.  I think we'll be stopping at Target on the way home.  Some shopping Friday or Saturday but a pretty low key weekend.

I'm at work this morning, gosh I wish traffic was like this every day!!  I am working til noon, then I have to stop at the grocery store, actually 2 different ones to be exact, for a few things I need for Thanksgiving dinner supplies.  Then I may stop and bed, bath  & beyond real quick, and possible Sam Moon while I am over there in that same plaza.  I have a chiropractor appt. at 3 to attend.  Jordyn is home with the girls today, DH took them to the chiropractor this morning then out to breakfast.  Hopefully Jordyn's car will be ready to pick up this afternoon.  I have a few things to prep this evening for Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow, but other than that, just laundry and paperwork.  I suppose I need decide on dinner for tonight.  Madison mentioned pizza last night, so maybe we'll do that.

As for the rest of the weekend, I really want to concentrate on cleaning and purging before Christmas.  So that will be my concentration on Friday, along with any other paperwork that needs to get done.  I do have a small bit of shopping i'd like to get done, but we'll see if DH is agreeable to going with me or not.  Jordyn could go if he doesn't, but we'll see.

Saturday, Jordyn's high school varsity football team has a play off game at 2:00.  We will all be going to the game, including DH.  So I think we need to leave around 10:30 or 11:00.  After the game Jordyn is riding home with us so we can go to a restaurant that is a customer of DH's, they had a location near our house they closed it down and we loved it, so we'll take the opportunity to go to it after the football game.  And Saturday evening we'll just hang out at the house.  Sunday, probably yard work and any other stuff that didn't get done over the weekend.  It should overall be a pretty relaxing weekend hopefully.
