Good morning ladies! It is Jordyn's last day home and she has a whole list of "fun" stuff to do with her time, finishing up a pleasure book, spray painting a pair or rain boots, make a batch of vanilla fudge. I just hope she gets her thank you notes done so I can get stuff mailed out! She has to work tonight at 4:30.

As for me, back to work. Nothing on my desk at the moment, so we'll see how the day progresses. I have a 2:00 meeting and I need to get gas on lunch. Oh, and i need to call Jordyn and have her put my roast in the crock pot for dinner. Tonight I have a bunch of paperwork to do for DH.

The girls really should write thank-you notes to their grandmother in IN for the iTunes cards etc that she gave them.

yes, we go through the thank you note issue every single year. I make Jordyn right them every single year and she doesn't like it, but she does it. I have given up and let her write a thank you email to her father now, but that is it, the rest have to be actual written thank you notes. My grandmother loves it, she makes sure to tell me every time how much she values that I have taught the girls to write thank you notes. I write them out for the little girls and this year i am having Emma write her name since she can now and I'll just let Madison scribble on it for a minute. LOL!

Thank you notes all done here except for one. I need to write the note for my parents but am wanting to include picture taken with the new camera they gave me that has been printed on the photo printer they gave dh. It's just a matter of getting off my duff and doing it. Printer is set up, I have a card reader, and we have photo paper. Not feeling so good today (stupid cold) so I hanging out in the family room watching tv. Printer, etc. are all here so maybe that will help. Dh is home sick today so I can ask him for help if I need it.

Since I'm not feeling well and I don't have work today, I'm just hanging out. Probably try to put in some time on the piano as we have lessons tonight. If I have the energy I might make more Chex Mix. The batch I made the other day is GONE! I was thinking it would last through the week. Boy was I wrong!

We'll be moving late summer or early fall. Sounds like we can go through the hassles of house selling and moving together. Ideally I would like us to move in with the ILS before they are ready to move out. Showing a house with our dog and cat, a husband who works at home and homeschooling sounds like a nightmare. It would be easier for us to put it on the market once we move out.

It was an adjustment for Jordyn, yes we moved across country, but even moving in general. She still looks back now and complains about me doing it. But I just remind her, especially with the economy in Michigan, there was no telling what would have happened, and she has met so many amazing friends and people here and had so many opportunities she may not have had in Michigan. Its hard to get them to understand that always, its such an emotional thing.

Moving is such an upheaval for them, we moved four years ago and every once in a while the kids will still bring up how unhappy the move made them at times. For that matter I was not very happy about it either. But as things turn edout it was a blessing in disguise as my husband's former employer was going to be bought by a bigger company and he would have likely lost his job at the start of the recession. Aside from the cost of living here, things have turned out for the best and we all realize it.

He's lucky! He will be in the same school as all his friends, that won't change. So I can't quite understand his upset about moving. LOL
