Morning. Was a good morning. Matthew running a bit slow but no big deal. It's raining this morning so I lagged behind getting the recycle stuff outside. Decided if I missed the pick up, oh well, there is always next week. LOL Took Matthew to school and then decided to treat myself to a Starbucks coffee and breakfast sandwich. Took the long way around to miss all the schoo zones between me and it. Got home and discovered the recysle truck hadn't come yet so I did just get it out. Just heard it pick up.
Today is dust and cobweb cleaning. Ugh, makes me sneeze when I do this. Maybe I will grab one of Tim's resperators he wears when he mows. Might help. LOL I will probably vacuum. Of course dishes, surprise surprise. Again, nothing going on tonight. Maybe get my grocery list ready for tomorrow. Already got the bill ready to be paid online yesterday.
Dinner will be that chicken I had intended for last night. I ended up making broccoli cheese soup last night with homemade bread. Was so good!
Good morning! Today I am working on the kitchen and laundry room. I won't get either of them finished today. They both have to be dug out from the piles of dishes/laundry before I can start the cleaning process. I also have some emails to return. I'd like DH to vacuum the house too and clean up the yard. Z has a ton of school (literature) that requires me for discussion so I'll need to be on hand. He's in his room sulking because- well I don't know why, but I'm sure he has a highly illogical reason. Too bad, if his chores aren't done by 9, its another day without any screen time. I just started Abraham Lincoln Vampire Killer and will carve out some time to read today. Dinner is tortellini w/marinara, garlic bread, and salad. Not super inspired, but easy and not take out.
He was sulky because he has more chores this year which makes life unfair. He went on and on about the injustice of having wiping down the bathroom added to his chore list. When he came up for air I calmly expained that his outside classes keep me out of the house 8 to 10 hours a week more this semester and to keep the house running, he has to help more. That was followed with silence and then an okay. Why can't he just ask-why all the drama and monologues about the injustices of the universe?
I don't think I'm being unrealistic- feed the cat and fish, clean litter, check and empty (if needed)inside garbages and recycling into garage bins each day, bring in outside bins on Friday mornings, wipe down the bathroom sinks/toilet/mirror Wed and Fri, and make bed by 9am. Wednesday evenings take trash/recycling to curb and clear the table after meals (daily). Basic picking up/taking care of his stuff . In truth he has it easy- most of his friends do their own laundry, do dishes and clean full bathrooms.
Hi everyone, only two more wakeups, yay. This five day workweek thing is for the birds!
It was a bit of a rough day in our classroom and I feel exhausted. I ran a couple of errands after work, came home and exercised, did a few small chores and now starting prep for dinner - mac and cheese, and pumpkin soup
Ian had a regular school day and no other activities. Kayleigh had school and then rehearsal which runs to 7:15pm. She was up late last night studying for a physics test, hopefully she did well.
After dinner and getting Kayleigh (which I am hoping Dh will volunteer for), no real plans for the evening, just relax, watch some tv, read.
