Morning.  Kids got out alright.  Traffice this morning was pretty bad getting out of our subdivision for some reason.  Got the recycle stuff at the crb for pick up.  Darn it, is it cold out there!  My hands were freezing by the time I got it done.  I got the dishes going, a few I still need to hand wash.  I need to pay the bills and get the downstairs cleaned up.  I went to bed early last night but I am still tired.  I think I am trying to get sick, hope not.  I hate being sick.  Nothing else going on.  Tim will probably go work out tonight.

Dinner might be leftovers.  I need a cooking break.  There is plenty in there and a few things of homemade bread.

I'm hoping we can stay in all day.  The estimated high today is 13 and that is to cold to be out!  Lots of school and cleaning.  I have a few emails waiting for replies.  DH comes home tonight and I am hoping he has a snow free drive.  I'd like him to get home around dinner time to bring us food!

Good morning.  Not a lot going on, a few things to do at work today and I got my W-2, so I think we have everything we need now to get the stuff to the accountant so he can get started.  I'd like to get Jordyn's FAFSA done as soon as possible, and a possible tax refund definitely would not hurt right about now.  Lunch may be running errands, we'll see how i feel.  I have no idea what's for dinner, we'll see if DH is home today during the day and can throw something together for me or what.  If anything, there are plenty of leftovers in the fridge.

Have a good one!

Still quite strange that I can only sign in on the laptop.  Whatever.

I went to Richmond for Legislative day.  It was interesting.  Though I only got 5 minutes to hand my stuff to the LA (didn't get to speak to the delegate.  Don't think I wanted to b/c his LA said he was sick)  I saw lots of different groups there all asking for the money that goes to them to please not be cut.  The ASPCA had a meeting room where they were putting on a presentation.  There were med students, doctors and others all asking for Medicare funds to be expanded.  You have to wonder just how much these people really listen- since they see many different groups over the 45 days that General Assembly is in session.  It was worth the drive just to see that.  I drove with one lady- the other one wanted to do lunch.  I didn't care one way or another- but the woman I drove with just wanted to go home.   So we did.

Tracy- we need to think about Kristen's FAFSA too.  Though that (and next year's deposit- goody) isn't due until the end of next month. Hard to think that far ahead when her semester JUST started 2 days ago.

Dinner is leftovers.  I do not feel like cooking.

And I don't know what to think about the job interview I had yesterday.  Two people interviewed me, and they did all of the talking (I didn't get questions asked of me like at the other interviews I've been to) I don't know- it's afternoons and we could have scheduling problems if I'm working 1-9.  If I don't get it- it's ok, I'll just keep going along.

It's cold here too.  I really noticed it when we were wandering around downtown Richmond and it was 19!

Cheryl, DH came to me this weekend and was like "what's this charge from OU Room". Uhh, its the dorm room deposit. He couldn't believe it was already due. Technically it wasn't, but applications went out in mid-December and its first come first serve basis based on the application. She doen't want the best of hte best dorms, she picked something pretty much in the middle accommodation wise, and as far as I know she didn't put a roommate request. She could have requested one of the other incoming freshmen from the team that she met on the recruiting weekend, but she didn't feel like she met anyone she knew enough she'd want to commit to rooming with, so she decided to take her chances freshman year and just see who she gets paired up with. Her and her sophomore host clicked really well on the recruiting weekend and she thinks if things go well she may see about rooming with her in an apartment sophomore year, but heck, I am having a hard enough time thinking abour freshman year...

Cheryl, how many "official graduation announcements" did you order? You can order them individually for like $1 or the minimum set is 30. I really don't think we need that many, I am thinking like 10, but thought I'd see what you guys did. I really don't want to order the name cards and all that other stuf too, since the minimum order of name cards is 50! Goodness this stuff is starting to add up, and we are just starting in cheer competition seasons. I am trying to book hotel rooms. I doubt we will be able to attend them all, I've only went to one so far out of 3, but I do want to go to at least 2 more, plus its that, or find someone who will house Jordyn in their hotel room for the competition since she can't get one on her own yet (not that i am sure I would want her too...)

Hi everyone. Another day where the temps only reached the teens. It was a pretty regular work day for me. I subbed for our classroom teacher in the afternoon.  Ian had a regular school day, and Kayleigh did as well in addition to staying after for some club activity.  We are having chili, rice and cornbread. Later, I have to go  out into the cold to attend a continuing ed workshop when I'd rather be home in front of the fire that Ian plans on building in the living room'

This whole not being able to post from the desktop is getting kind of annoying.  Which is why I don't really post much here.

But I did want to answer your question Tracy.  The minimum number of name cards was 50 for us.  Minimum announcement order was 25.  But I got 50 b/c it wasn't obnoxious expensive.   And I had that many names.  I wound up sending 25 ish.  And then, my neighbor across the street took 20 or so, she didn't order enough and started running out.  No, I wasn't going to complain or make her pay- we've done so many things for each other over the years it just wasn't that big of a deal.

But she was too funny.  Her son graduates this year and she said she learned that she needed to order the whole 50 (or was it 75?) LOL.

Kristen and her roommate "exsist".  I don't think either of them are in the room long enough during the day to annoy each other.  i don't think she's going to room with this girl next year.  When I asked her what she wanted to do next year I got "I dunno".  SIGH.  Her GPA is high enough, AND she's ranked as a Sophomore b/c of the high school classes she took, that she's going to get a decent selection of where she wants to room.  Freshman-Juniors have to live somewhere on campus- and there's a bunch of options.  There's these cute townhouses that at one point she said that maybe she could get in there with some older kids who have one of their roommates graduating.  There's upperclass dorms (that's where "the boy" lives).

It was hard- at first.  Now, halfway through the year, we've kind of gotten into a groove.  Of course, Kristen's only 3.5 hours away, and we see her almost once a month.  If she was farther away- i don't know if we'd have dealt as well at first.

She's fine.  The vet comapred it to a skinned knee and said it should heel within a week.  She suggested I put Neosporin on it 2x a day and try to vaseline and sock her other pads since they are so rough.  Buffy was fine about the Neosporin but I'm not sure how she'd do wearing socks!
