Good morning ladies, how are you this Wednesday morning?
Buffy has a paw that is all raw with a big hole in it. We're off to the vet. Bringing Frodo too since they don't like to be apart. It looks so cold....
I can only sign in from the desk top. It is annoying. DH has checked and rechecked my lap top and can't find a difference between the two comptuers. Overall this upgrade has been a big disappointment. My loading time is slower, pop up ads still exist, and it really halted board activity. Oh and someone sent me a pm 4 or 5 days ago that I still have not received. Big disappointment as we were trying to meet up since DH had a businees trip in her town and I could have tagged along. :(
She's fine. The vet comapred it to a skinned knee and said it should heel within a week. She suggested I put Neosporin on it 2x a day and try to vaseline and sock her other pads since they are so rough. Buffy was fine about the Neosporin but I'm not sure how she'd do wearing socks!
This whole not being able to post from the desktop is getting kind of annoying. Which is why I don't really post much here.
But I did want to answer your question Tracy. The minimum number of name cards was 50 for us. Minimum announcement order was 25. But I got 50 b/c it wasn't obnoxious expensive. And I had that many names. I wound up sending 25 ish. And then, my neighbor across the street took 20 or so, she didn't order enough and started running out. No, I wasn't going to complain or make her pay- we've done so many things for each other over the years it just wasn't that big of a deal.
But she was too funny. Her son graduates this year and she said she learned that she needed to order the whole 50 (or was it 75?) LOL.
Kristen and her roommate "exsist". I don't think either of them are in the room long enough during the day to annoy each other. i don't think she's going to room with this girl next year. When I asked her what she wanted to do next year I got "I dunno". SIGH. Her GPA is high enough, AND she's ranked as a Sophomore b/c of the high school classes she took, that she's going to get a decent selection of where she wants to room. Freshman-Juniors have to live somewhere on campus- and there's a bunch of options. There's these cute townhouses that at one point she said that maybe she could get in there with some older kids who have one of their roommates graduating. There's upperclass dorms (that's where "the boy" lives).
It was hard- at first. Now, halfway through the year, we've kind of gotten into a groove. Of course, Kristen's only 3.5 hours away, and we see her almost once a month. If she was farther away- i don't know if we'd have dealt as well at first.
Hi everyone. Another day where the temps only reached the teens. It was a pretty regular work day for me. I subbed for our classroom teacher in the afternoon. Ian had a regular school day, and Kayleigh did as well in addition to staying after for some club activity. We are having chili, rice and cornbread. Later, I have to go out into the cold to attend a continuing ed workshop when I'd rather be home in front of the fire that Ian plans on building in the living room'

Still quite strange that I can only sign in on the laptop. Whatever.
I went to Richmond for Legislative day. It was interesting. Though I only got 5 minutes to hand my stuff to the LA (didn't get to speak to the delegate. Don't think I wanted to b/c his LA said he was sick) I saw lots of different groups there all asking for the money that goes to them to please not be cut. The ASPCA had a meeting room where they were putting on a presentation. There were med students, doctors and others all asking for Medicare funds to be expanded. You have to wonder just how much these people really listen- since they see many different groups over the 45 days that General Assembly is in session. It was worth the drive just to see that. I drove with one lady- the other one wanted to do lunch. I didn't care one way or another- but the woman I drove with just wanted to go home. So we did.
Tracy- we need to think about Kristen's FAFSA too. Though that (and next year's deposit- goody) isn't due until the end of next month. Hard to think that far ahead when her semester JUST started 2 days ago.
Dinner is leftovers. I do not feel like cooking.
And I don't know what to think about the job interview I had yesterday. Two people interviewed me, and they did all of the talking (I didn't get questions asked of me like at the other interviews I've been to) I don't know- it's afternoons and we could have scheduling problems if I'm working 1-9. If I don't get it- it's ok, I'll just keep going along.
It's cold here too. I really noticed it when we were wandering around downtown Richmond and it was 19!
:0( Poor Buffy! I hope they can get her all fixed up. Sorry you have to venture out into the cold!!
