Good morning.  Goodness its been a long week already!  I think things will finally slow down today, but we'll see how the day goes.  I have a bunch of work from yesterday to wrap up and get out the door.  I need to go to the post office at some point today and I have a conference call at 1:00.  Emma is at Madison's daycare this week for spring break and she is going on a field trip today and very excited!  Jordyn's room is clean!!!  You can see the floor and the inside of her closet and everything!  She is going running this morning then to pick up her BFF and they are going prom dress shopping, then to a movie later this afternoon/evening.

Dinner was going to be a roast in the crock pot, but I slept in this morning and was running late.  So unless I can get DH to put it in for me, I'll make something else, either chicken pockets or ham and cheese croissants.  Have a good one!

Good morning. I have  a long list of to dos around the house  today, but I feel like sluggish and just want to go back to bed.  This evening I take Zeph for a recheck on his contacts and and I'm pretty sure the doc will give the go ahead to make the switch permanent.  I'm a little fuzzy on how much they'll actually cost.  I feel like money is just zipping out of our accounts.

I spent some time yesterday researching sleep away interest based science camps and I am flabbergasted by the costs.  Without transportation, many of these were in the $1500-$2500 range.  There are 2 that he is really interested in and I have suggested he start brainstorming ways to help with the costs for next summer.

DH comes home tonight.  MIL left this morning.  Her visit went well.  Some minor kinks to work out for next  time.  The constant TV was an issue with trying to work on school.  She is use to it on all the time and we seldom have it on before 8pm-weekends too.  Overall it was a nice time and I will be much less stressed before her next visit.

I've got to go get school started.

Heather, just an FYI, buying contacts from the eye doctor usually is about twice as expensive as if you buy them online. We used to have eye insurance that gave us up to $100 towards contacts/glasses and what i would do is buy 1 box for each eye since they were usually a different prescription level from the eye doctor and then i order the other set of 6 months worth from visiondirect.com or 1800contacts.com. I like visiondirect because I get upromise credit for them. Or tell them you are going to wait on buying the year's worth, have them print out the prescription and then order them online. It usually ends up being half the cost and a lot of times you can find a discount code and/or rebate info for it and its free shipping over $100.

Thanks for the idea.  The eye doc mentioned that they don't like for kids to buy more than 6 months the first time becasue percriptions may change or they might go back to glasses.  They also said that several of their vendors are offering a $100 rebate if you do buy a year supply.  They did offer that if DS needed to change scripts after 6 months, and I kept the unused contacts in a resellable condition they would allow us to swap them out at no cost.  I will need to see prices and what a year would cost up front.

Morning.  Bored.  I have made sure my computer here at work has the right programs so I can work but until I get this special ID I can't do a whole lot.  I got the kids off to school fine.  Matthew had to be there early.  I got a post roast started in the crock pot.  Shoot, no bread.  Maybe I can get it going real quick when I get home.  I'll have to show the kids how to make rolls for me.  LOL  Tonight nothing going on.  Just some TV.  Home work for the kids.  They are getting caught up.  Teachers are telling me they are doing fine.

Dinner will be roast with mashed potatoes, carrots and rolls.

I'll try not to make this into a gripe post.  It's just been one of those days.

Kristen's been home since Friday.  That alone has knocked everyone's schedule off- balance.  Not that it's a bad thing when the college student is home (and you with kids going off in the fall will realize this as well LOL) but it does mess everything up.  She wants food here, we as parents would like to see her since she's not here very much- she's still running on college time etc, etc.

Becca had a dermatologist appt.  Got a new script for 2 skin medications.  Came home and looked them up.  Since we've reached the max our benefits will allow- and we're paying things out of pocket- these 2 meds are going to be $700!  Sigh.  I have cards the PA gave us- I have no idea if they'll work or not. Tried them once before and they didn't work.  I really don't want to spend more than half my 1st paycheck at Pearson on 2 acne meds- so I'll call them next if I get charged that much.  The generic brand is a little cheaper.

Then Kristen insisted on me going to the dentist with her.  Which is a good thing b/c she couldn't figure out when her next break was to make a 6 month appt.  I should just hand it over to her- but we are still paying for her health insurance, and if anything goes wrong with her teeth WE are footing the bill.

Then dh calls.  "Oh I got asked to do Praise team on Sunday".  I said "You do know someone has to do the Lynchburg trip" (and wanted to say in a snarky voice b/c she has no car on campus but didn't).  He said he'd try to change it.  I hope he did.  Otherwise I have to call the preschool director and make sure my room's covered on Sunday.  And no- having the 17 year old senior in there doesn't count- she wants an adult in there as well.  Even though this 17 year old does more than some adults I've worked with.

I don't know if dh would do any of the house stuff that needs to be taken care of or not.  I have to work on Monday- and yes it's only a temp job- but it's at least a month's worth of work, and even dh said that it would be worth it.  But this family HAS to work with me and not dump every single responsibility on me.

I'm considering getting something 2nd shift come the fall. It would basically pay for the overage on Kristen's tuition.  Something we haven't had to worry about yet b/c MIL was very generous and put aside money for school for the grandkids.  That will run out come fall semester, and I kind of don't want to dip into retirement to pay for school.

As I've said- I shied away from a couple of 2nd shift jobs simply b/c it would require people to have to work with me- and the last time I asked people to work with me I got very frustrated b/c NOBODY wanted to work with me and I still got all kind of junk here dumped on me. Not to mention that dh has been very busy at work.  And Becca doesn't have her licence yet.  But if she has her licence- and she drops the Monday night orchestra (which will happen if she makes Govenor's school) she can get herself to places.  And I won't have to worry about lessons b/c they take lessons there as part of their curriculum.

Dinner's stuffed shells.  Kristen's idea.

Hi everyone, hope you've all had a good day. My work day was pretty smooth and it passed quickly. The kids both had regular school days, Kayleigh stayed after for something.  I came home right after school, exercised and am now waiting for dinner (crispy breaded chicken over veggies) to be ready.  Just planning a relaxing night of tv and opening a bottle of wine.  Hooray for only two more wakeups
