Hi everyone. Slept like the dead last night. Guess the antibiotics are kicking in. I'm feeling a little better, but very tired now.

Ian had a regular school day.  Kayleigh had school and then stayed after for something.  I'm making corned beef/cabbage pasta, YUM!

After dinner, Dh and Ian are going to an awards ceremony. I'll be home resting and relaxing and hopefully turning in early.  NOt a very eventful day!

                                             Love, Mindy

I did not want to crawl out of my warm bed this morning.  Winter is trying to hold on, we are having a few cold days here but then the heat will hit and Spring will truly be here finally.  Everyone got off alright.  Normal morning, quiet as well.  Got into work and had a few projects of my own to work one.  Finally have two done but still need to get the rest finished.  I was going to work through lunch but decided not too.  I can eat real quick and then go finish my stuff.  I am sure Matthew will have a friend over.  He stays for a long time.  He comes home with Matthew and stays till dinner, or like last night eats with us.  I take him home sometimes if it's dark.  He lives not too far but far enough away that I don't want him walking home if it's dark.

Tonight we are having hamburgers, the meat I never cooked last night.  Matthew will be cooking tonight.

Thansk for th recipe.  It looks really easy and I love that is uses ham off the bone.  I did wind up making brussel sprouts on the grill.  We all thought they were fine, but weren't crazy about them.

Yes, I am so glad this car stuff will finally be over soon. This one will need a brake job, and DH has to do the brakes on my truck this weekend anyways, so he'll do both, and then she needs to take it in for an inspection, but other than that, we are finally back to "normal" around here. Now if the mechanic could just fix DH's work truck, we'd be all set!! The recipe I pulled up did not use the ham bone, though I am sure you could have easily used it. I made homemade broth last night with the remnants of the whole chicken i had in the crock pot, took out all the extra stuff this morning and put in all the stuff for the split pea and ham soup. Hopefully it turns out well. This is the recipe I used: http://elegantlyglutenfree.com/gluten-free-split-pea-soup-with-carrots-celery-and-onion-even-ham-too-in-the-crockpot

DH was up early vacumming and doing some cleaning.  He has a coworker coming over this morning for a company wide streaming meeting.  Since there isn't an office our man cave will have to do.

Zeph is still sleeping.  He and his friend were outside yesterday for a couple of hours and then he was up late at the astronomy meeting.  I'll get him up by 9:15 if he doesn't wake up on his own.  He has some school this moring and then bowling league.  He'll probably have work to do afterwards too.  I want to get beef stroganoff in the crockpot so tonight I just have egg noodles and veggies to make.   Hoping that we can watch the last episode of the bible tonight.

Well, I'd like to say my day is starting out well, but its not, so I won't bother...  Its gloomy and rainy here, so my mood fits right in with things.  I have a ton of stuff to get done today, including running to the grocery store and gas station at lunch, and taking stuff to the post office.  We are going to pick up jordyn's "new" car tonight after I get out of work and go pick up all the kids.  Jordyn is feeling slightly better, she could have stayed home another day to rest, but she was stressing about falling too far behind in classes, so she's back today.  She is skipping work and practice for one more night tonight and will return tomorrow.

I put split pea and ham soup into the crock pot before i left this morning, we'll see who actually eats it tonight.  Have a great one!
