Morning. Its supposed to rain here this afternoon, maybe thundershowers. Kristen has riding tonight so I leave work at 4, rush home, eat and leave by 5:30. No other big plans as we don't get home until after 8:00.
Hey everyone, I'm back!!! Bet you didn't even notice I was gone.. :) Mom treated me to 3 days at a spa with her. It was wonderful to lounge around in a bathrobe all day, go swimming if I wanted to, read a book, listen to music, or do whatever I wanted. I had a massage one day, a facial another, and a pedicure the last day. It was FABULOUS!!! My dad came down and chauffeured the kids around so dh didn't have to lose any work time.
Today it's back to reality. Kids are at school and dh is out of the house for the morning. Evan has swimming tonight and that's it. We're going to clean out our area at a local storage facility because our church is having a rummage sale this weekend and hopefully we'll be able to donate and either down size or get rid of our storage locker completely. The only things there we really use are suitcases and Christmas decorations.
I'm hoping to get a workout in and get the house back to normal. Actually, I came home to a pretty clean house. I was pleasantly surprised! Just need to straighten up a little and get some laundry done. Oh, I have to run a few errands too. Need groceries and have to buy a copy of Tom Sawyer. Evan is reading it for school but the copy he has is so old, the pages have separated from the binding and are falling out so I thought we'd donate a new copy to the teacher's library.
I am VERY lucky!!! My parents made very smart financial moves as 20 and 30 somethings so they have the resources and time to do things like this now (they're in there early 60's). I said more than a few prayers and thank yous for the opportunity. My dad is the BEST!!!! Hope you get a chance to do the same some day.
My grandparents are like that, my grandfather's parents and brothers and sisters all passed on at early ages (50's) and so he wanted to make sure my grandmother would be competely taken care of if the same happened to him.
I had thee worst first grade class ever--and the sad thing is that not all of the kids were bad, but so many of them were that it ruined the day for me!
Good morning all.
