Hi all.  Felt  less stressed today. Regular day at work, sister is stable.

Ian had his oral part of his Italian final today and performed with his band in NYSSMA majors festival.  Then he came home and baked bread.  Kayleigh had a regular school day, stayed after for something and then ran an errand for one of her teachers (*she is planning the menu for their AP review session dinner next week).

After work, I stayed a little while to chat with coworkers, then went to the post office, the bank, the card store and grabbed a couple of things at the supermarket.  Came home and vacuumed (that counts as exercise right?).  STarting dinner soon, it's taco night, Ian's favorite.

After dinner, some paperwork and some stuff to go over with Ian, and hopefully not turning in too late

Good morning.  DH took Zeph for a field trip and will pick him up later.  It's 4 hours of outdoor plant adaptation investigations and collecting followed by microscope use and comparing/contrasting species.  This is a venue that is notorius for being homeschool unfriendly (they really are set up for school groups) and I jumped at the chance for him to go since their classes are suppose to be excellent. I hope he has fun.  Tonight he has his coached bowling league and DH will also drive for that which gives me a mostly free day.

While DH was gone I baked Z's birthday cake and will frost it tomorrow.  I finished what I needed to do in the garage also.  Two more boxes to go!

DH and I spent the rest of the morning working on the backyard.  This garden project is a much larger undertaking than we expected and more costly.  Last night it took us over and hour to clear the trellis of dead branches.  We decided to make the existing garden smaller.   We picked up all the dead sticks we cut/pulled off the trellis monstrosity.  I have no idea what this plant is but it is tall (over 10 feet) and just crazy looking.  Hoping to trim more back when it blooms so we can better tell what is alive and what is dead.

We moved all the deck furniture off the top deck and into the garage and I scrubbed that deck level on my hands and knees.  It looks so much better!  We're going to sell MIL's table and chairs  and I'm running out to Target in a bit to pick up a cafe table and chairs that match our other deck table to go up there.  It gets nice shade and would be a pleasant place to sit and do school or just read.  The mid deck level is full sun and while the umbrella helps some, it is still hotter.

I'm hoping to scrub the mid level deck this afternoon. Once again the weeding and mulch spreading gets pushed to another day.  Sometime today I'd like to dust Zeph's room and change his bedding as well as work on laundry and dishes too.

MIL said she is plannign to visit in late June and I am not freaking out.  I did say she could stay here the entire time rather than here 2 nights and at SIL's 2 nights.  She seemed pleased.  I would like the backyard finished so she comes to see our vision rather than mid vision.  My break is over, back to work!

Morning.  I am not fully awake this morning.  I need more caffine I think.  Hoping my Sunkist is cold by now.  All is well in our house this morning.  I left early to run by the girls MS to drop some invitations for the girls surprise birthday get together for my neighbors daughter to hand out for me today.  I hope these girls keep things quiet.  I wrote a note inside asking them to keep it quiet please.  We will see how this goes.  I got busy ans now it's lunch time and I never got my Sunkist.  I am staying in my office but surfing the web.  Lights are off and doors are locked.  No one's home.  LOL  Okay, for dinner tonight we are going to try the pock chops again.  I ended up very tired and so Tim brought home chinese for dinner.  Also, after school I am taking Natalie for our Starbucks.

Good morning ladies!  Lots of rain on the way into work, but traffic wasn't bad luckily.  I am not sure if DH got up and Emma off to school on time or not, I called him twice to make sure he was awake and getting her around...  I have errands to run at lunch, but it will depend on the weather.  My to do list of things to get odne before all the relatives get here is getting longer by the minute!!  I am waiting on senior pictures to get out graduation announcements, I need to call today with payment.  I am getting anxious.  No one that's getting the announcement is coming to the graduation and that's fine, but I seriously don't want them arriving like a week after graduation or anything, and then I also need to design and order her open house invites for the party in Michigan and she still needs to make a decision on her going away party here in Texas, that will have to wait til after her training this weekend so that she knows what her initial work schedule for this summer.  Ugh, so many things to plan and coordinate.  Can we just jump ahead to Labor day weekend and have all this stuff behind us??

I got my annual review yesterday from my boss, better than I expected.  She indicated she wanted to meet about it today sometime so we'll see.  Tonight, laundry, paperwork that I've been putting off all week, and the hockey game at 8:00 tonight.  dinner is turkey smoked sausage, mac and cheese and acorn squash.

Have a good one.
