Quick holiday check-in. The weekend was a nightmare for introvert me. We were sooooo busy, family, gymkhana events (Kristen got 4th in Barrels, 3rd in Keyhole and 1st in egg and spoon LOL and had an absolute blast), then Sunday was my Grandmother's 85th birthday which we did all the work for, then a huge family dinner. I was just bagged. Then Monday we went on a garden tour and it was absolutely boiling hot, Kristen got a stomach ache, I was snarly, not pretty. LOL Yesterday we didn't do much and last night Kristen and I went out to the horse farm and she rode for awhile and I visited with the family so a nice break. I love my family but sometimes you need to be away from them for a bit. Today is a yucky day, rainy so we are going "shopping". Not that they have much here, but its something to do.
Tomorrow we are going to visit my aunt and uncle in the country in the afternoon and that's about it. My parents are going golfing in the morning. Friday and Saturday are the rodeo. Kristen's friends are riding in the gymkhana and the Dad is in the wild horse race so we'll be looking forward to cheering him on and seeing all the rodeo events. Friday at noon we are meeting my cousin and her son who is autistic. He's not able to go on the rides by himself so Kristen is going to go with him for awhile. He doesn't take well to too much excitement so likely not for too long. My bank account will notice as it will cost us $28 for both of us to get in and a bracelet for the rides is $30. Eeeek. But its cheaper than tickets. So that will keep us busy all weekend. Not sure if we'll go and watch the gymkhana or not. It's 8:30 Sat. moring. Ack. For us that's early. LOL But Kristen would like to see her friend compete.
Guess I better go and get ready to go shopping. We'll be leaving in a bit.

Yes, I would recommend it.
I got Dh The Innocent Man for Christmas and he enjoyed it very much but I haven't gotten around to reading it myself yet.

Oh, The Innocent Man is not his typical writing.
