Brrr its chilly, no cold out here....of course when I asked Rachel where her winter coat was this AM she says its in her locker?!?! Uh, its gonna be cold the rest of the wk you might want to bring it home so you can wear it in the AM (she had a sweatshirt hoodie on instead today).
Work is quiet -- I'm going to try & walk around the building for exercise again since its dark & cold by the time I get home from work. Oh, Rach did well on her unit test for Chinese class & Jamie did well on her reading assignments so I let the girls have lava cakes for dessert last night.
Not too much going on in our neck of the woods. It's a windy 30 degrees today... I had to kick up the moisturizer on my kids. Last year their faces got wind chafed (insert sad face) but we are ready this year!!
I have a chicken in the slow cooker at home... we have bible study tonight and Jasmin has dance rehearsal at church.
Morning everyone!! Can I just say this is going to be a tough day... I'm still not feeling well and it was a logistically challenging morning getting everyone where they needed to be, when they needed to be there. I was hoping to spend the morning in bed recuperating but... After breakfast this morning, I asked Megan if she knew where her team swim suit was (she needs it for an away meet this weekend). I got the deer-in-the-headlights-I-have-no-idea stare. I've pretty much torn both her room and the laundry room apart looking for it and it's MIA. AAACCCKKK!!! I really don't feel like spending $35 for a new one but I'm not sure I have much choice at this point. :( I'll have her look some more this evening but if it doesn't turn up, we'll have to bite the bullet. She needs to be packed when she goes to bed tomorrow night because we're leaving right after school Friday.
I hope Evan survives his day today... He had to be at school early for orchestra this morning, after that he's taking a test to see if he qualifies for high school math next year, followed by the rest of a regular school day. Tonight he has a swim meet and has to be there to warm up at 5:15. He's only swimming two events so it shouldn't be too late. When he gets home, he needs to study for a Latin test tomorrow and I think he has another test on Friday (Social Studies I believe - he worked through the study guide last night so if he reviews it tonight and tomorrow night he should be okay). Anyone read - or have their kid read Adam Canfield of The Slash? It's a very tongue-in-cheek tween book about a very smart, very over programmed kid. I think Evan is a little like Adam this week.
