Cheryl. I use to have this issue with jackie. Now keep in mind she is one of those kids that you just have to lay it on the line and tell her your reasoning. Its nothing but straight forward and the truth with this child. So what i did was i got a piece of paper and wrote down all the bills i had. (of course I just did an estimate) Then i told her how much i bring home and helped her do the math. She got it. Now she is way much better at not asking for things like she use to. maybe if you do something similar like that it might help. Or start the allowance thing and let them buy their own things and see how that works out. Every kid learns a different way. Hang in there.
