I have to laugh. Jackie asked me why everyone gets so "drama Queened up" for the first couple of days of school....... She had to have last years clothes on.....LOL
I have not gotten dressed up for a while, guess the last time was for a concert. (LOL)if you consider that dressed UP?!! I enjoy getting dressed up, Jackie does not like dressed but will get all dressed up when needed.

I think the last time I was all decked out was our wedding 2 1/2 years ago. We haven't had any reason since then. Jordyn got dressed up for a dance and her gymnastics awards' banquet in December. She is more of a jeans and t-shirt girl most of the time.

Well, I'm semi-dolled up today! :) Macks get her braces this morning, I have work after that and then I'm going to a couple of places to pass out my resume. I jokingly have two looks...pulled together and looking like I spent the night wrapped around my toilet! LOL! I'm about 50/50 when it comes to dressing up, and yes, Mackenzie spends quite the amount of time each morning fixing herself up. Mostly hair styles (thank goodness) but some makeup. She dresses nicer than most kids at her school but saves the really nice dressing for special occasions.

Super dressed up was the Academy awards when my classmate had a party and we all got dressed up, guys in tuxes, little black dress, pantyhose, the works. I'm a casual girl, detest pantyhose, etc. So it doesn't happen often.

Kristen likes to get all dolled up but we don't really have a reason to. Last time for her was grad and after grad she came to a reception with me. So I had on a skirt and sweater (no pantyhose) and she had on her grad dress. So I wasn't as dressed up as March though.

My last dress up occasion was a wedding in July. It was a fancy wedding so I got all dolled up.
I like to get dressed up because I look really good. Also because DH loves it!

My DS hates to get dressed up. I think its a shame because we have really become a casual society (in more ways than this!). I think people in general should dress up more.
This being said as I sit in my cleaning shirt & shorts with flip flops on!

last time I got all dolled up it was last April. Our PTA had a auction to raise $ for the school. Here's a picture of me with my PTA buddies. I'm the one on the far right. :)

About two weeks ago I put on a casual dress and went to a mandatory meeting for one of my classes. I just felt like putting on a dress. Both my DH and my DS at separate times in the day asked why I was so dressed up. No make-up or anything, just a change from my usual jeans and t-shirt.

For my FIL's re-marriage (I don't know what to call it...they were finally married in the church, they were married by a JP before).

I hate dressing up...lol.

Aly hates dressing up, too.

When is the last time you got all decked out, and why? Just about 2 weeks ago when oldest ds got married.

Do you like getting dressed up, and why or why not? I don't like getting that dressed up, could be because I need to lose some weight plus I spent yrs. doing it for dh in business. It got old.

What about your 10-14 year old? Do they like to get all
dressed up and do so often or do they tend to enjoy more
casual dress?
She did this time since she was in the wedding, fully decked out in a long gown. She looked beautiful. Sometimes she'll get all dressed up for church & other times she'll go in jeans. Most times I have to argue w/her to wear a dress or a skirt.

Dee

I'm always happiest in jeans & I think dd is the same way.
