My husbands brothers are the same way in the helping with cleaning and cooking.......one of the brother's is a really, really good dad, he is very hands on!

Wow, that must be very challenging to not have your dh around. I found what you posted to be interesting, especially the part about your mil doing everything for your dh and fil. My mil did everything for my dh as well. He never had to lift a finger, but he turned out to be a people pleaser. He really helps me out as much as I could hope for. Last night I came home to a completely clean house, which really made me happy because I hate spending my weekend cleaning. Not to mention I have a class tomorrow so I feel like I only get one day off this week. Anyway, I hope your dh has a change of heart while he's on his "own" and I hope he finds that much needed appreciation for all you do. It would also be nice if he wanted to help out more with the kids and be more involved, for all parties involved. (((hugs)))
