Nicole I can definately relate, since moving here to Texas every holiday is hard, we are so close with my family and its hard being so far away from them!

WHINE: my joints are all aching from what I believe is a reaction to a medication, and the neuro is horrible about calling me back, so I'm whining about being in pain and not having the doc who calls me back in a timely manner, and not being able to just stop taking the medication.

The only thing I can say about the exercise it baby steps. Start with 15 minutes of whatever it is you like to do. Maybe come up with a reward if you work out a certain number of time in a week. I've found that if I get up and put on my workout clothes right away I tend to get my workout in, if I don't, the workout doesn't happen. If you're a runner, the book The Courage to Start by John Bringham (or is it Bingham) is a great motivator.
