Worries: immediate financial future. The investors that have been funding the company dh has been contracting for didn't give the firm the money to cover payroll yesterday. Dh's future is okay but we don't have the money to cover the mortgage or other bills right now. Plus we've got several thousand dollars in activity fees due soon or over due...
Whines: Dh's schedule
Whatever: the house is a mess and people are leaving stuff everywhere.
Worries:I can't believe it, but I had my first accident - for which I was totally at fault- two days ago. I was leaving the eye doctor and blinking to get my contact settled (had just put it back in) and hit a brand new car. UGH! Dh has been unbelievably sweet, but it will cost us about $1500. We decided to not report to insurance after weighing pros and cons. Luckily, the lady I hit was very, very nice.
Whines:Between the car, activity/sport fees, dd19's tuition and apartment... I feel like we're spending money about twice as fast as we make it.
Ugh Ami that would be frustrating! I have definitely been there recently. Not in the same way, but DH went to another hospital and the union took back an education reimbursement, which no one reminded him this would happen. So instead of having nice check due to his PTO payout, we received nothing! I'm just catching up from all of that now. I can relate to the headache with that and hope they are able to help out and get a check in your hands soon.
Worries: the drive tomorrow; does it take 5.5 or 6.5 hours. If it is 6.5, we need to leave earlier!!! We left super early the last time we drove and got their super early, but everything says it takes longer than what I remember!
Whines: Kenzie's fast skin is already ripping and we bought it 6/2/2012, she's only worn it for 10 swims. No one locally has a replacement for it. So we are super gluing back together where it is coming apart.
Whatever: jackson took a 20 minute nap...this should be fun!
Who hoo!- Kristen leaves for school in 16 days. Yeah we're kind of sad, but she kind of needs to live on her own for a bit.
And Kristen got a $500 scholarship yesterday that we'd forgotten about (see previous post)
Worries- she's friended her roommate on facebook. They're going in together on a microfridge. What the heck happens if the roommate situation doesn't work out? Do we get our money back? Yeah I know I'm over worrying- but out of the 6 people we know who have had roommates freshman year (me included) 5 of them had enough "drama" that it didn't work out.
Whines- I so don't want to go to the in-laws. Sigh. The time would be just SO much better if we could just get a hotel room instead of staying with them. Mil would be so hurt though. So I guess we just deal with the drama. Sigh.
Whatever- over doctor appts. It took the kids over an hour at the dentist today (they were running late). Dermatologist tomorrow. I have an eye appt then I'm running to a job open house that I'm not sure just how qualified I am for...............
Congrats on Kirsten's scholarship and how exciting that she's leaving for college in two weeks. In a year that'll be me. I hope you enjoy her last two weeks at home and that the transition to college will be smooth and wonderful
