Saturday Evan has swim practice in the morning and then we're going to a Swedish festival in Chicago for the afternoon. We'll spend the rest of the day doing whatever dh wants because he's celebrating Father's Day tomorrow. Sunday we're going to my parents/grandparents (they live in the same town) to celebrate Father's Day. My mom's sister decided to host a gathering at my grandparents house and she rarely does anything for the family so we want to encourage the behavior by making it successful. Besides, my grandparents are in their mid-eighties and I want my kids to have memories of them. My grandmother is starting to lose it a little but man my grandfather is sharp as a tack. He walks two miles on a treadmill every day, communicates with most of the family by email, and still works 25 hours/week at the company he founded about 50 years ago. He grew up speaking only German at home on a farm and now has a list of patents as long as my arm to his name and two degrees.
