Ang, DH Charles, dds Rachel (10.5) & Jamie (7.5) in 'burbs of MD. I usually like to decorate in the beginning of Dec but DH is use to doing it Xmas eve. The girls of course want to do it earlier ;-)
Denise and DH in Denver, with Nick (15) and Mackenzie (12).
I've already started with decorating! :) Actuallly I decorated for Halloween. I'm a pumpkin Junkie so I have ceramic pumpkins everywhere. I face them out with their faces for Halloween then turn them around so they're just pumpkins through Thanksgiving. My daughter's birthday is December 28th so I used to take all my Christmas stuff down the day before to seperate the two celebrations. Because of taking them down so early, I'm one of those obnoxious people who actually pulls it all out on Thanksgiving afternoon, after dishes are done! What else will I do? I'm not near family and we don't watch sports! :)
Tam (42) and Kristen (11.5) in Ottawa, Canada. I usually start the first week of December. I don't like the decorations up too long otherwise they lose the novelty and they are just that junk in the middle of the living room. LOL We also take them down before New Years.
Dawn(32)Trevor(40)Kacie(12)Jessica(8) from North Texas...
We usually decorate somewhere from the day after Thanksgiving to the weekend after. It's finished by the time the girls go back to school&comes down before New Year's..This year though,we will put it up on Thanksgiving.Trevor&the girls are leaving the day after Thanksgiving&won't be back until Sunday afternoon. So,it's either do it on Thanksgiving or wait the following weekend!!My girls are good at nagging,so might as well do it early.LOL
Tracy here, DH Brian currently deployed, DD Jordyn 11, DSS Christian 7 lives in Michigan, we have one on the way due April 30. We live in Central Texas.
We normally decorate minimally for Thanksgiving, and pretty all out for Christmas, but since we are flying to Michigan for 5 days at Christmas, including Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, we will most likely just put up a table top Christmas Tree and a few decorations. We will have a few small presents to open before we leave or after we come back, but most of it will all be done in Michigan this year.
