HOW WAS YOUR WEEK? ROUND IT UP FOR US!
My week went pretty quick.
My week pretty much stunk - Evan was home sick for three days with a fever (and is still WAY congested) and Tuesday I fell on some ice and screwed up my knee. Don't know the extent of the damage yet - just know there are no broken bones visible on x-rays. MRI today and results from the doc as soon as I can get in next week. On the up side - Evan got moved up a level on his swim team when it starts up again in the spring and got invited to represent his team in a really competitive meet a week from Sunday.
Weekend - kids have gifted math classes tomorrow morning, Evan has swim practice in the afternoon. Sunday it's church and a piano workshop for Megan. In between all of this, I'm supposed to ice my knee for 15 minutes every hour.
Tegan is at a pathfinder sleepover, Kelsey was invited to spend the night at a friend's and DH is working so i am alone!! I have bought a dozen or so books for myself this week so i am going thru them to figure out what i am going to read next. Right now i am reading Cannery Row by John Steinbeck. I also bought the Pearl written by Steinbeck as well. The rest of the books i bought were as follows"
In the blink of an eye by Wendi Corsi Staub
The Reader by Bernhard Schlink
The lovely Bones by Alice Sebold
At first sight by Nicholas Sparks
Lifeguard by James Patterson
4th of July also by Patterson
Orchid Beach by stuart woods
Angela's Ashes by Frank McCourt
Stand your ground by eric walters for Tegan or Kelsey
I also picked up four nancy drew books for Kelsey and the Steinbeck ones are actually for Tegan. There were so many more i wanted to buy but i thought i would get through these first. I hope they are all great.
Anyway, sorry to ramble. If anyone has read any of these and has an opinion on any of them please let me know. I almost bought The Yearling but i wasn't sure if it was a great read or not. Thoughts?
Kelly
