I am wondering if people buy their kids something for Easter other then chocolate? We used to get the kids bubbles, skipping ropes and stuff like that but they are too old for it now.
What does everyone else do?

Kristen is getting two T-shirts (on sale at Walmart) and a PC video game about owning a ranch and having horses, barrel racing, etc. That and some chocolate is it for us. As she's gotten older I'm kind of scaling down.

I got my son 4 pairs of cargo denim shorts (which he wants and needs, having outgrown all of his shorts when winter set in) and his sister will have a new pullover terry coverup dress with hood (for after swimming) and a terry pull on skirt and hoodie (also for after swimming).

And no candy or sweets.

I still try to find outdoor oriented toys, this year it is some pool diving toys and a supersoaker.

Evan (10) is getting one or two inexpensive paperback books, some Floam, and he said no basket is complete without Peeps. Megan (6) is getting books, hair accessories, Floam, and Peeps. I may break down and get jelly beans too but I'm trying not to do so much candy.

I've heard other people mention gift cards, DVDs, and outdoor stuff.

Aly's getting 2 books (one fiction that she wants, one nonfiction that she doesn't know about) and a sprinkler that I got for $2 ($16 off) last fall.

The last couple of years I've been weeding out the candy. This year she's getting a purse and a duffle bag for camp.

Kelly, for Kayleigh I do some candy and stuff like a book or two, any craft supplies she's running low on (markers, colored pencils), usually a gift certificate for the movies, friendly's and/or Blockbuster.

To be honest, I'm not the kind who keeps much/any candy laying around the house so holidays like this are pretty much a chocolate fest for the kids! LOL! I like the gift card idea and I may get a couple of small trinkets like paperback books and a water toy...gee I'd better get shopping! LOL!

We will be in AZ. My mil loads the kids up with clothes and choc. I plan on buying Hannah some Godiva. She loves it.
