I am wondering if people buy their kids something for Easter other then chocolate? We used to get the kids bubbles, skipping ropes and stuff like that but they are too old for it now.
What does everyone else do?

I was just struggling with this today. Megan (almost 8) is easy. Hair stuff, lip smackers, and craft things (stamp pads, scissors, etc.). Evan is REALLY hard. What kind of non-candy little stuff do you get an 11 year old boy? He's past toy cars and little Lego sets. He doesn't collect cards (Yugio, Pokeman, etc.). He'd probably turn up his nose at the cutesy pencils, erasers, and notepads. He likes clay so maybe some Sculpey. They would both like a Webkinz believe it or not. I just don't know what kind of little things to get him. I have several stamp pads for Megan that I got at the dollar area at Target. I'm just not sure how to make things look even in Evan's eyes. I REALLY don't want to resort to candy. Megan just had 4 cavities filled and what I give him, I have to give her. Anybody have any ideas for boys?

We're going on a beach vacation later in the spring, so DD will be getting some flip flops, a beach towel, things like that.

Since dd's bday is Monday, we just had valentines, I think I'll get her a gift card to Claires & hide some money in eggs. She'll het peeps. We really try to not do much candy at Easter. The days of bubbles & jump ropes were so much easier.

Gabby has read them. They are really silly, superficcial and innane.Lots of talk about clothing, fashion and crushes on boys. The girls are also not vey nice to each other or other people at times.I don't have a problem with Gabby reading them ,but they are definatly fluff.Gabby read them last year in 5th grade, for ar.She does like them.
