Where is everyone from?
| Sat, 01-13-2007 - 12:01pm |
Since I am new here, I would like to know where everyone is from and how many kids everyone has, etc. This way I can get to know everyone.
I live in Southern Washington, we just moved here from Arizona. I have four kids- 12, 9, 2, and 1. I am a SAHM, have been since my oldest was born.

When I insist that I am 'right," I slam the door of my mind. I remain locked in past
Stacy,
I was born in Nashua and lived in Manchester until I was 10. I still have alot of family (aunts, uncles, my grandmother) in the NH (Hooksett, Manchester, and Berlin). We travel up there a few times a year and we vacation in Ossippee nearly every summer, as my dad's side of the family has a cottage on the lake. In fact, we were up there for a week last summer, and then stayed with my Aunt for a few nights in Hooksett and took the kids to Canobie Lake Park (hadn't been there in YEARS....and it didn't change much either! LOL)
Small world, huh?

Oh wow Marcy, it really is a small world.
We probably stood in the same line to get on the Old Cannonball when we were kids. Do you know Zylas in Merrimack? I miss the auctions they used to have, but the store is still there and they still have the 25 cent section (though it's not as exciting as when your a kid). Oh and the Green Ridge Turkey farm in Nashua is long gone. (there is a Barnes and Noble in it's place now).

Stacy,
My memories of Nashua are very vague! We lived on Gillis Street, which back in 1972, was in a nice neighborhood (apparantly, we lived across the street from the mayor). I'm sure it's not the same. I can remember my mom taking me to the toy store "Child World" by the old Nashua Mall. Just from driving up the Everett (Route 3, right?), I know everything has changed.
Manchester has changed TONS!! I remember the Mall of NH being "all that" when I was 10...but that was MANY years ago...LOL
I don't remember Zylas...but my mom probably does. I do remember Mack's Apples. Is that still around? Londonderry I think (or somewhere around there?).
Have you lived in NH all your life or are you a transplant (I know there are many transplants in S. NH now....Mass commuters)
