Since I am new here, I would like to know where everyone is from and how many kids everyone has, etc. This way I can get to know everyone.

I live in Southern Washington, we just moved here from Arizona. I have four kids- 12, 9, 2, and 1. I am a SAHM, have been since my oldest was born.

I live in Southeast Kentucky and moved here almost 11 years ago after living all of my life in Ohio. I am married, work full-time as an office manager for a local oil company, and have 3 daughters 16, 10, 9.

Gillis street is still a nice area. Though you are right. Everything has changed. Macs is still around. We go every year to get apples and pumpkins.

I remember child world. It was located right off Rt 3. My father's hardward store "Five Seasons Hardware" was in the same lot. All is gone now. The mall is gone and we have a Kohls, Baby's R Us, LL Bean Outlet and a Christmas tree Shop as well as a Burlington Coats.

I'm technically a transplant. My father's business was in nh but we lived in Ma just over the line in Lowell. When it came time to buy our own home, we decided to move up to NH to get our son out of the city. Dh worked in Ma, so we stayed fairly well south for an easier commute.

Do you remember Benson's Wild Animal Farm?

Oh, yes! I remember going to Benson's when I was in elementary school. I was really young though...probably kindergarten-aged. Oh...and Girl Scout Camp! Camp Kettleford! I went there for daycamp every single summer until we moved. I think it's in Bedford. Not sure on that though.

It's nice to know that the house I was born in (well, I wasn't born there...I was born at St. Joseph's!) and lived in until I was three is still in a nice area. My parents loved that apartment! I remember playing in the back stairway with my neighbor friends who were older than me! LOL We moved to Manchester in 1971, where my parents built their first brand new house for something like $9,000! LOL Then my dad was transferred and we moved to PA in 1978. So now, of course, I consider myself a PA girl...but I still have fond memories of NH and we love when we go back to visit. (especially when we go to Ossipee...We leave life at home and just enjoy being there!) Last summer, we took our kids to Storyland. My parents took me there when I was very young. I had taken my oldest there when he was 2. My youngest has been twice now. Even though they were 6 and 10 this summer, we all had a great time. That park is so clean and family friendly...it's wonderful! I'm afraid that last summer was our last visit. I don't think the boys are interested in it anymore (well, maybe the youngest, but my 11 year old isn't into it!)

This summer, we'll be skipping our NH vacation because we're heading to Disney. But we're probably going to spend a few days in Mansfield MA with my DH's brother, so we can take the kids to Plymouth (the plantation, the big rock (LOL), etc.)

Hey, thanks for letting me reminisce!
