Whew...school's out!

Aly's last day was yesterday. And at my school, the teachers finished up all the turning in and stuffing envelopes yesterday. So, basically, we're going to just physically BE there Monday (requirement). I do have to put my computer on my back counter, and hopefully my Internet connection will get fixed, but, if it doesn't, oh well.

I'm not sure if I told you all or not, but I will be in the same position next year...yay!

Little brag--Aly got her Math & English scores for the LEAP test (state test) and got Advanced in both (the highest of 5 levels) and her scaled score on each was 500, the highest you can get (she missed one question on each test). She didn't get the score back on science or social studies, but I know from her teacher that she got Advanced in science and Mastery (the second highest) in social studies.

She's getting a new principal next year. It was decided Thursday night, but something more juicy happened at the school board meeting, so I can't find anywhere who was appointed to be her principal.

So, watch out! I'll be here a lot more often now!!!

Lucky you. And congrats on getting the same post next year. Super woohoo to Aly for getting such great scores. Be proud. We still have at least 6 weeks. Our standardized testing for Grade 3 and 6 starts Tuesday. But its one of those tests that doesn't affect the kids' grades or promotion, its only for the Education Ministry to decide if the schools are teaching what they should be. I have no idea if its any use at all, but there is no pressure on the kids.

Congratulations to Aly on her great test scores. Also hooray for you getting the position you wanted for next yr. We don't get out for another month & my mind is telling me school is over. LOl Too many yrs. living in the south.

We had a very busy May, Dance recital, school musical & soccer. Plus confirmation. Every weekend was full so far. The dance recital went great, Nik did really well in the school musical & said she would try out for it again next yr. I don't know when we get test scores back but I've already been told that they're looking into differnt placement for dd next yr. She might be placed in advanced language arts.

looks like its been a good yr. all around for the girls. Does Aly still take dance? Dee

Lucky you. My girls aren't done until June 28th. when do your kids go back? Ours go back just after labour day. DD 13 is so excited to be starting high school in September. I hope it is all she wants it to be and more.
Congrats on your posting!!

The kids get 12 weeks of summer this year!!! They pushed back our start date a week to Aug 13. But they won't get out until the Thurs before Memorial Day next year.
